If this is the truth it sucks, cause Ash should've either told him the truth or delayed the shooting of the film, till Mr. Bachan announced it to the whole world on his twitter account.

Some points.

1. Yes, it's a woman's prerogative to keep her pregnancy hidden from the public/everyone.

2. If bollywood producers come up with a pregnancy clause for married or committed female actors then would there be one for male actors with pending court cases? Sanjay Dutt's jail term had much worse impact on the industry. He was the top star at that time and the industry incurred so much loss, still they stood by him.

Now the issue in Madhur-Aishwarya case is integrity. Being an actor in this industry, Aishwarya Rai should know that script changes happen quite often. Sometimes even scenes are reshot after trial. So what was she thinking when she went on to announce Heroine at Cannes and then gave dates till July knowing well that she's already entered 2nd trimester. It's unethical and deceit.

well, i was working a day before i delivered too... and i know many women like that... i know of my teacher, whose water broke in-class... so yes, there are all different cases... but in all cases, the employers KNEW about it... it was not a surprise to them...

and i don't think the bachans are making into any case, because so far, i have not seen any statement regarding this issue from them... perhaps, they know that it was wrong to withhold such information, especially when they are connected with the glamour world... but i'm sure they'll issue a statement as well...

that being said, madhur's statements also seem like statements, making him out to be victim... and he is definitely NOT the victim here... i'm sure there were breaches on both ends, but considering they always had the possibility of 'reaching a consensus' about a particular scene... now, they don't exactly have that luxury, so madhur does seem to be in for a rougher ride... oh well...!

ash's fault is that she hid the fact, and thought that madhur would actually go by the first schedule, which of course, changed (as happens in many cases in bollywood)... she should have told him, even if she was expecting to be finished with shooting before she thought she'd start 'showing' or whatever else she thought...

that being said, implications of amit being the baby's father and all that are quite pathetic and reflects the mentality of the people, nothing else... the baby is not even born yet, and such scandals already... if that is not crazy, i do not know what is...

if he was oh-so-innocent and a victim, he'd have taken a stand against the bachans as well... it's not like the bachans are as powerful (like a certain mr. khan) to ruin people's career, etc... a lot of people within the industry have spoken up against them... so it's not as if he has anything to worry about if he is in the clear...!

Well its a betrayl and most of us agree. As Dexter said Ash being very calculative, I wonder why AB senior announced her pregnancy on Twitter?? Why she put him forward and stay herself in background. Don't tell me that she respects that old man too much to let him make her big baby news... any guess???

I have a feeling that Amitabh didn't know about the pregnancy until he posted the tweet about it. Because he didn't post it as news, but like he couldn't be happier, and his excitement kind of looked new and sudden.

i think he's doing it out of respect for the Sr. Bachchan..

and there being more to the story.. there might be, but frm both angles, Madhur seems to be at a loss, i don't think he'd shooot himself in the head on purpose..

like it or not, the "old man" is still very much the face of the Bachchan clan..
