Pregnancy tends to make a woman more bloated and puffy.

It is a challenging role because the story of the film goes through several periods of Mahi's life, and sources tells us that Aishwarya is really working hard to get inside the character and make her believable. She not only is concentrating on getting the character perfect, she is also changing her looks to suit certain scenes in the film. Of course, it is easy to believe Aishwarya as the beautiful superstar, but there are also moments in this story that are lows, and Aishwarya has been asked by the director to put on weight for some of the scenes of the film.

I have no clues about the story of Heroine but one can take an educated guess that to highlight the lows they'll need to depict the highs as well ... I think this film requires several looks and she will be required to lose weight for at least half of this film.

Exactly. In her recent appearance, she looks fit and no bump shows. So they could've shot the highs now and when the bump would've began to show a couple of months later, then they could've shot the lows where she was required to look over-weight.

Aishwarya's pregnancy at Rs.50 crore

While we hear new versions each day about Aishwarya Rai's sudden announcement of pregnancy and how her filmmakers have suffered because of it, here is putting a figure or call it an estimate to what Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy has cost her producers.

According to Bollywood observers, Aishwarya's pregnancy and the fact that she can't do films for sometime has stalled work worth Rs.50 crore.


Adds our source, "Aishwarya had signed two films this calendar totaling Rs.50 crore. HEROINE, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar had a budget of Rs.18 crore and Rajkumar Santoshi's film with Aishwarya and Abhishek, titled LADIES & GENTLEMEN, was pegged in the upwards of Rs.30 crore budget. In fact, it was scheduled to commence in the first week of July. Now, given the fact that Ash is four months pregnant, both projects totaling a whopping Rs.50 crore are headed nowhere, courtesy the pregnant pause."

Though there are early reports that Madhur is looking for replacement for his project for which he had put in more than one year's pre-production in place, so far nothing has been confirmed by him or by his partner banner UTV. Well, though Bachchans might be basking in the happy moments of Ash's pregnancy, Bhandarkar is surely not so pleased.

But its you who said she looks perfectly in shape and will do so until 6th month...

You have a perfect plan for the way the shoot should be happening...But can she shoot wearing fitted clothes??and what about the people around her who smoke???should they be given 'fake' cigarettes too???And what of the outdoor shootings and the possible accidents???? She is willing to keep her unborn baby at risk, but what if the producers aren't???
