lol I just mentioned in my previous post that Raveena didn't get any National Award...I think she did. Exactly my point...no one remembers if you won a National Award or not. It's the roles you play that people remember you by. IMO Raveena didn't get anything special from winning a NA, her career still went down. While the likes of Kajol is still popular and working and has many roles and fans to be remembered for.

At the end of the day what matters is if fans and critics liked your work. And I think Kareena hugely achieved that with JWM and Chameli. I have seen many of her non fans turned into fans after seeing both of these films. Some are even on this forum like zubi, who is a loyal fan of kareena after watching JWM.

^ I liked the changed bebo too. Gets her less criticism from ppl who dislike her. She already has a lot of people who dislike her, her personality even adds more people who dislike her. Now she changed for the better...not completely but def better than before.

Kareena's personality never bothered me lol ( in terms of affecting my liking towards her acting). But she def does irritate me with things she says.

...Since I have seen her in K3G, I just fall in love with her vivacious nature on screen. No other actress ever entertains me as Kareena does on screen. So I don't let her personality effect my entertainment lol

I will not agree with the statement that "NAs don't even matter" because I feel that Tabu and Konkona deserve every cubic milimeter of those awards.

Just because some noteworthy performances, of Kareena in this case, haven't won, doesn't mean NAs are crap

what's with this sour grapes approach? Kareena WILL get a National Award, her career isn't over yet, in fact she's FAR from that point.

Why can't we just wish her all the best for the future, instead of ripping the NAs apart because of the past!

agree with everything except the "career is not over part"...looking at her current choice of films, her age, rumours abt her marriage with saif and everything else...it seems like she dosent have more than a year or two of the position shes currently in...I have a feeling she'll go the rani way...in abt a year..i hope not...but i think she will..

I don't think anyone is taken away the credibility of NA to the winners who actually deserved it like Konkena. I havent seen most of Tabu films she got the NA for, so can't speak for her. But I many times in my posts said Koko deserves her awards is because she is an amazing actress. If I didn't...will I did now. lol

smartiepants...I wouldn't rule out kareena yet. Let's wait and see. We can't be sure who's career is over and who is not. She might go the kajol way. Who knows.

Also national awards are not limited to bollywood actors/actress, they are given out to people who excel at the particular craft from various movie industry. Just because Kareena didn't get the award does not mean the awards useless or don't matter. There are a lot of great actors/actresses who act in marathi, bengali, tamil, malaylam, kannada and telugu movie and are recognized by NA for it.
