It's the whole "no one even remembers who won an NA" argument that I was talking about.

That isn't true. Some people DO take note about who's won an NA.

and I don't really feel that Kareena will succumb to those rumours. I mean, her and Saif are hot so of course, there's marriage stuff but.. I think Kareena's strong enough to steer her career towards the right direction

Oh so that's the quote your talking about. But that doesn't mean I was taking anything away from the winners. I do believe the general public don't keep tabs on who won the NA or not. They just go to the movies for enjoyment and have their favorite stars picked not based on who won NA or not. I wouldn't have known about these awards if it wasn't for this forum. I just found out that Raveena and Amir also have won a NA. I didn't know that before. People don't think about these things. That doesn't mean NA is not important.

I know this topic is about kareena. But I also wonder since some ppl think Preity Zinta or Juhi are better actress than kareena, than why haven't they won a NA yet?

Yep turned the tables there. I am also waiting for my answer on the question to N..when she said Rani in Hum TUm and Preity in Kal ho na are just as popular as kareena from Geet...than why don't these roles ever make the list of most popular roles when kareena from Geet always makes the list and let me add proudly tops it! Both the critics and polls voted by the fans...Geet is always on the list! 😃

^See that depends on your perception, I think that if general public watches and keeps track of awards like IIFA, Filmfare, Zee etc, then why would National Awards be any different.

You know...

these polls and things didn't exist when Juhi was in her prime 😆

and Preity and Juhi maybe, alongside Kareena, DON'T deserve national awards for the kinds of roles that we're keeping in mind, the 'Geet' role

IMO all of them did awesome jobs at the bubbly thing, and yeah, maybe Kareena's Geet role is definitely the most popular

but on that basis, it doesn't mean that anyone who excels in a bubbly role should get an NA

But the difference is IFFA and filmfare and all those other awards are aired on TV, not National Awards.

They haven't won the awards because someone has always been better than them. Again this is not limited to bollywoood only, there are far more better actress in other parts of Indian film industry.
