Big B's Jibe At Aamir: Friends No More?

This weekend's big box-office battle was between Amitabh Bachchan's Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap and the Aamir Khan produced Delhi Belly. After initial reports gave Aamir's Delhi Belly the advantage, Amitabh Bachchan has hit out.

On his blog, he refuted these reports and in a clear dig at team Aamir, goes on to say: "They repeatedly taunt my modesty, for, it worries them how my vocabulary does not entertain immodesty. They chuckle and snigger at this 'act' of mine as my greatest performance, for, they are not qualified enough to judge what an actual creative performance comprises of. They hide behind contrived self aggrandized confabulations, to cover and protect their own deficiencies, for they know in the dark of the night, behind closed doors, when they shall unmask themselves, they shall be saved from the horror of their own real shadow !!!

The Big B also quotes statistics from various sites monitoring Bollywood box-office figures to validate his point.

The Big B ends his post with a cryptic line: "I shall sleep well. Will they?" Clearly, Bollywood's legendary actor, at 68, still has lots to say to detractors.

Is he taunting Amir? I may have missed a few Amir interviews..

Frankly I am only left gasping how he has so much energy and enthusiasm,discipline..to work,travel,promote,have the same enthusiasm to connect with his fans every single day without fail on twitter..his blog.What drives him?

Fan wars start on the net ..without anyone investing anything on these films..These stars put in so much..

BHTB is also produced by AB..I can understand his disappointment..

Never mind these are small details..people will remember the legendry Amitabh Bachchan in the decades to come..😊

Its pretty straightforward actually. All he's saying that people think that his modesty is just an act and his greatest performance. They laugh at him behind his back, but its not an act, its self concieved, self contrived gossip, that is only there to make themselves feel better about themselves and help them sleep at night.

Bigg B must take everyone for a fool, to buy this BS of his. Everyone knows Bachchan is one of the most arrogant people around and has a serious superiority complex. He's not a Dharam or a Salman who'll go hang with the spot boys and whose large heartedness is legendary in bollywood.

You have no choice but to be modest right now Bigg B. After all the publicity acts and the fake hype you tried creating bbuddah has taken worse opening than a vinay pathak movie like "challo dilli". Its shaken you up, might as well let off some steam on your blog.

I KNOW that Amitabh Bachchan has a beautiful legacy, but I mean.. gahhh... with he MAD zordaar publicity following DB, the young fresh thing, the exciting language and music...

it was a gamble I suppose.

Sounds Shakespearean no? But he really didn't need to be so loquacious...it makes him seem asinine instead

Perhaps he also hides behind self-aggrandized confabulations to cover his own deficiency, i.e. his huge ego?😉
