Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha is very upset with Aamir Khan and the Delhi Bellytrack Bhaag DK Bose.
Says Anubhav, "I don't mean to sound regressive, but I have a nine-year-old son, Shlok and I would be very embarrassed if he started singing that around me! Aamir (producer, Delhi Belly) is a responsible man and is socially and politically aware. I didn't expect this from him! We know what it sounds like when you say the words DK Bose over and over again. I dare not ask my son whether he has heard the song or knows the meaning."
The director adds, "In an interview, Aamir called DB an adult film. So is the song. And it's being aired on a public space. I'm not worried about 13-plus children as they know what 'bh*****i ke' means. I have a problem with the song being shown on a public domain (on TV channels) at normal timings on general entertainment channels. I have a big problem with that on moral grounds. Also, in the past few years 'phat gayi' has become an accepted term but we all know what it actually stood for! I fear the DK Bose song might become an accepted term too. Where are we headed? It's a catchy song but unfortunately, I can't sit and hear it with my son in the car."
He adds, "I recently saw the uncensored version of the song on a news channel. There's a close-up of Imran Khan's erection with a girl dry-humping him! I am shocked! This is not done! I am disappointed in Aamir."
Anubhav says he would never like to be in that situation. "Shah Rukh and I are very careful about what should or shouldn't be shown. Maybe Aamir hasn't done it deliberately and it's an oversight. But he is taking the audience for granted."
