READY Evening Update: Dabangg First Day Record Safe Friday 3rd June 2010 18.30 IST Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Ready is unlikely to create history by beating the opening day all India collections of Dabangg. The opening is bumper but has little chance of being historic. East Punjab which is multiplex heavy territory seems to be heading for an 1.15-1.25 crore nett total with the all important late evening and night shows to come. The record first day totals in East Punjab are as follows. 1. Dabangg - 1.39 crore 2. Yamla Pagla Deewana - 1.20 crore 3. Tees Maar Khan - 1.18 crore 4. Three Idiots - 1.10 crore Yamla Pagle Deewana can be taken out of this equation as Dharmendra and Sunny Deol are the biggest stars in Punjab but looking at Dabangg number of 1.39 crore, Ready would have to be out of this world in other circuits to get near Dabangg. Although its early to say Ready is probably looking at a first day total closer to Tees Maar Khan (12.82 crore nett) and Three Idiots (12.98 crore) rather than Dabangg (14.45 crore nett). There are no doubts that the first day will be huge though.

My Review:

I had fun is all I can say. If your one of those individual looking for a film with a great/original story...this is not the film for you. This might have been obvious but whatever. Ready is a fun film with great songs. I don't know how to review it other than saying, I had a great time. The film was hilarious and not one of those lame jokes hilarious...it had good jokes. The guys in the theaters were laughing so hard, my ears were hurting lol.

Salman was adorable in the film. He is so entertaining. The action scenes were awesome. He looked awesome too! Asin was good, but she is repeating her act from Ghajini. She also uses the style of acting from the 90s...which gets a little cheezy. But she looks gorgeous!

Songs were awesome. Loved the picturization of Character Dheela, Dhinka Chica, and Meri Ada Bhi.

Sanjay Dutt was hilarious in his special appearance. Zarine Khan was awesome. Others like ajay and kangana and arbaaz khan nothing special.

Special mention to Paresh rawal and the guy who gives a lift to Asin and Sallu when their car breaks down or whatever (don't wanna ruin it for others) they are both hilarious and make the film what it is.

I def loved Ready more than Dabangg. But Liked Wanted better than Ready. Ready dragged a little in the middle of the film...but still go see it if you want to just have a good time and laugh.

I don't think ready will be an ATBB, at max its gonna be a hit.. its opening numbers are gonna be like TMk.. and i don't think it will sustain..
