Day Ten- Film that makes me fall asleep



Atonement

The first time I watched this, I fell asleep but maybe that was from my 18 hour long shift.. the second time, I fell asleep because I dunno... I was just really tired and was too comfy on my couch ... so the third time, I made sure I was not lazying on the couch/bed, and it wasn't one of those long long work days. So I watched it, and boy did I love it? I mean all the times prior to, I had watched a little, the story always intrigued me so it wasn't a surprise I'd like it when I actually got to finish it. It also has my sexy James Mcavoy.

The character I loved the most was that of the youngest jealous sister. She was a mean brat, sarcastic, jealous, and a wrecker. I loved her because the little girl acted with such grace and perfection, that I loved to hate the character as the story progressed. The background music was creepy (the typewriter sound :S), and that somehow made me like that haunting music. Weird.. I kinda like everything about the movie now though it still gives me a weird sinking feeling from within.

AHHH can I pick two? pretty please? :P So ye, I'm picking two of my favorite actors (male).



Firth and I go back a long way. I have this really huge thing for him and as much as I would've loved picking him as Mr. Darcy *hearts*, The King's Speech is a perfect masterpiece. It's a handsomely mounted, sheer perfection of a British period movie. I just had to mention this movie SOMEWHERE!

And my second,



This movie is so simple, the story is so simple, Grant's role is so simple, and yet still, I adore him (and the movie). It's such a simple love story that it touches my heart every time I see it, and I fall in love with Hugh Grant all over again. I thoroughly and fully and wholeheartedly from the bottom of my broken heart love Grant so so much.

Yes, I realize I sound like a crazy teenager lol.

day 12 - a film from a director you dislike




Flim is Lagaan and the director is Ashutosh Gowarikar.

I find this man rude, and a male chauvinist pig. If I correctly remember, I feel this way towards him because he acted in a very bizzare way in one of his interviews and/or on a stage somewhere. But I dislike this man, and that's for sure. However, I love Lagaan and I have watched this movie probably maybe 25-30 times give or take. Well I just HAD to at one point because lets just say I was stuck on an island with a TV and just this one DVD for 3 months. And no, there was no internet or laptop. I only had this one movie. Thank the Gods for liking the movie that I actually played it everyday for three months. Needless to say, I know every dialogue off the top of my head. The story excited me then, and it always will!
