At first I thought Anna Hazare was a female too, only because of the name Anna. If I didn't have twitter I probably wouldn't even know who he is, because I don't watch the news. But for Ram Gopal Verma living in india, not knowing who Anna Hazare is, it's kinda sad, cause he's really doing a lot for the nation, but for others that live outside INdia, not knowing who Anna Hazare is, I don't think it's too much of a big deal.

Didn't know about her. I think people don't know since it's been a while and in those days media wasn't so big in India. Besides it is about government & military human rights violation...do media highlight such things?

Okay, many people on the forum live outside of India and don't have access to Indian news so it's unfair to blame them for not knowing who Anna Hazare is. And even I thought Anna Hazare was a woman first because of the name Anna (it's a common name for women)..

That being said, Ramu must really be living under a rock because in India Anna is on the news 24/7.

nobody is blaming anyone from what can i see...but members need to behave as well.....i am also not living in india presently right now...and i also didn't know abt anna hazzari much.....few days back...but i don't have any right to call it 'insane' where one of the member here said that....its not right to say like this from someone we dont know....which has become important.

but yes @Neetu_PB_lover, u need to chill as well.......

I never follow Indian Government news, this will die in few months and people will go back to eating their regular dinners. I was born in India and raised here, yet I don't care because just like meena said " india and corruption are like PBandJ."

EDIT: so apparently it's a HE. please don't call others ignorant. As it has been stated, many are not from India. and as if we keep track of every corruption going on in the world. Oh please, some Indians (like some Americans) think too highly of themselves that they believe the whole world revolves around them and that they are the best nation. Reminds me of my cousins in India who have so much pride and always impose their wealth of knowledge abt their country and mocks me for not knowing as if it's the most imp. thing in the world. I get national pride and all, but forcibly imposing things and the arrogant attitude is so off-putting.
