The year belonged to the queen Rani Mukerji. She came with one release after another and conquered the box office with her mighty performances. She was bestowed with the Midas touch of success as all her films Black, Bunty Aur Babli, Paheli, and The Rising, worked to her benefit. After Hum Tum and Veer-Zaara success seems to be her watchword.

Preity Zinta bubbled and sparked the box office with Salaam Namaste, one of the biggest hit of the year. With hard work and dedication, the girl is surely finding her way to the top. And what a way to go!

Bong babe Bipasha Basu looked stunning in her best bod and looks, as she dominated the screen with her seductive spree with No Entry, the biggest hit of the year. She also stood out with other releases like 'Barsaat' and 'Apharan'.

Priyanka Chopra also went strong with Waqt and Bluffmaster. Her other releases of the year included Karam, Yakeen and Barsaat. The actress has already proved her mettle at the box office and so the competitors, be better beware of her.

Sushmita Sen after Main Hoon Na, ignited the screen once again for Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, the film was a hit.

Vidya Balan made a debut with Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Parineeta, and made people sit up and notice her in her first film itself. She is just brilliant and with her pristine face can win the world. She is the favourite of both the critics as well as the trade pundits. An actress has arrived!

Chitrangda Singh is a rare talent and she proved it all with Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi and Kal. She was just fantastic in her offbeat role. The critics complimented her as the 'Smita Patil of the new generation'. But one might not see more of her as the actress has decided to concentrate in her family life.
