Actress Soha Ali Khan is reportedly not too happy about the fact that her brother skipped a promotional interview for a film which starred her and Sharmila Tagore for the first time. Though Soha and Sharmila put all their efforts to promote the film, it has now flopped at the box office. And Saif Ali Khan was not present at even one of its promotional events.
According to sources, Saif was so busy with Agent Vinod that he couldn't find time to appear for his mom's and sister's film.
"There was an interview that was arranged with Saif but he was so busy that he couldn't stick to his commitment. Saif was requested to make an appearance. The team thought that his presence would benefit the film but he was out of town for most of the time that he was required to show up," says a source.
Another source adds that even Saif's actor girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was supposed to come for one of the interviews that were lined up with Saif. However, the source insists that Soha has moved on and is already concentrating on her next film.
In an earlier interaction with After Hrs, Soha had clarified that she was an independent person and that the thought of taking her brother's help for any of her films had never really crossed her mind. "I have always been a very independent person. Whether it's my education or the jobs that I have taken up, it has always been my aim to do them myself. I don't think thatbhai has ever recommended me for any film or that I've even consulted him for any of my projects. We are family but when it comes to our professional commitments, we prefer to keep it separate. It's a space that solely belongs to me," she had said.
