So why should an actor put extra effort to just please a niche audience when majority prefers a JWM? She is practical and if that works for her then what's the harm.

If at this point, Kareena goes for serious cinema then she will totally disrupt her rapport with commercial directors and once younger actors excel in those roles, she will not get a chance to work with them in future-age factor. Bollywood setup is such a way that a good actor can excel in a serious cinema any time but commercial cinema prefers younger girls with few exceptions of course. That said, just being somebody's wife in a film is waste of Kareena's talent. Ra.1 was a bad choice. Success or failure of that film is not going to deter her position; I think it was just a waste of her time.

I really loved Kareeena in her earlier movies, especially my all time favourite bollywood movie; Chameli. But I admit, I havent seen any of her movies after Jab We Met. Her script choice just went downhill. I mean I get why she's doing what she's doing but really, doing a good movie once in a while shouldnt hurt should it?

I think she is making smart choices. Its unfortunate but a leading actress alone cannot bring the junta to the theaters. If films with SRK , Salman and Aamir dont give her the Blockbusters that she wants dont know who else can.

Personally Karisma never appealed to me... Except for the couple of off beat films she did in the end of her career the rest of her movies I felt she hammed her way....And again this is my opinion.... No need to give me an example of how good she was in this movie and how good she was in that movie... I have seen pretty much all of her movies and i base my opinion on that....

Maddy, I agree about Kareena being charming. I mean there is NO WAY you can ignore her onscreen ,she just lights up the scene like no one else does. Even her first couple of movies were really pathetic 😆 but as you said, they're still watchable.

I'm gona miss her if she doesn't come in much films....😳

kareena did chameli, omkara, jab we met, kurbaan, dev, refugee...all of which fetched her immense acclaim. I dunt see how she can be termed as a "lesser" actress, when she too has proven her worth, just as much as her sister.
