Koena in Kolkata Not everybody heads to Goa for the naya saal. And Koena Mitra is a glowing example of doing things differently.
So while some of the industrywallas will be in Wai for the Khan wedding, the other half will bring in 2006 in Goa, apni Bengali baby Koena will be at home in Kolkata with her parents.
She wants some family moments, and this is the best time to catch up. "This is my third year in Mumbai, and every New Year, my parents come to Mumbai to be with me. This year, I am going." Koena will be back in Mumbai by January 7, 2006. After a whole year! Okay, we admit that was corny.
Nagma: Going secular
Southern sensation Nagma at the premiere of her latest Bhojpuri film Dulha Milal Dildaar in Bhiwandi said, "Till date I have already acted in nine languages, which includes the four south Indian languages and an English film. I started my career with Hindi film Baaghi, but soon got wonderful offers from South and moved there."
Life is all about moving and finding your groove and when the roles dried up in the South, the actress turned to the Bhojpuri film industry. And guess what? "This is my second Bhojpuri film and the response is great," she revealed. The show must go on. Yahan nahin to kahin aur.

Rajeshwari: Chuda nahin mera…
For small screen's leading ladies, the latest accessory seems to be flaunting their marital status — forever.
For the December 31 special of Weekend Popkorn (Zoom) guest anchor Rajeshwari Sachdeva just refused to take of her chudas ( the red and white bangles which a newly-wed woman wears) even though it did not exactly match with her outfit for the show.
Traditionally the chudas are worn by brides for either 21 days, three months or a maximum of one year (which is quite a rarity nowadays). It is public knowledge that Rajeshwari and husband Varun Badola celebrated their first marriage anniversary more than a month ago.
So what's with the chuda fixation? Guess Rajeshwari just wants to keep her brand-new bride status intact for a while. Whatever makes you happy, woman.
