Shahid Kapoor turning 30!
Bollywood's favorite chocolaty boy turns 30 today. It is Charlie Boy Shahid Kapur's birthday today, the 25th of February!
Being born to two veteran actors, Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem on this day in 1981, Shahid has acting in his genes, and loves cinema with every fiber of his being. Although his parents separated when he a mere three year old, Shahid, who grew up with his mother, has had cordial relations with his father, and step mother Supriya Pathak, as well as his three step siblings. 
His career in the glam world started with a struggle, which involved his trying to cut a niche for himself with a line of music videos and advertisements to his credit. A student of the famous Shamak Dawar dance classes, Shahid gave his dancing debut onscreen in the movie Taal (1999). His cinematic debut happened 4 years later, while playing the lead hero for college rom-com, Ishq Vishq (2003) where he starred opposite MTV VJ Shenaz Treazurywala and Amrita Rao. For this movie, he got the Best Debut (Male) Filmfare award, and the jodi of Shahid and Amrita onscreen established itself in the hearts of many youngsters.
Some his mega blockbusters include, Fida (2004), Shikhar (2005), Vivah (2006), Jab We Met (2007) and Kaminey (2009). Vivah , which paved a way for his comeback after a low professional and personal phase in his life post break up with girlfriend and co-star Kareena Kapoor and a line of flops at BO, is considered to be his one of his finest performance. The movie, according to the actor, brought him right back into the game, while giving him the confidence that he did infact know his work well. Not surprisingly, the film, which starred fans' favorite Shahid-Amrita jodi fared exceedingly well at BO.
As of now, Shahid is working on his father's debut production, Mausam, opposite Sonam Kapoor, and the movie set for release this July, is already making news. It is being claimed to portray Shahid in his most romantic character yet.
Shahid Kapur, who has been linked with quite a few ladies - Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Sania Mirza and Deepika Padukone - is allegedly dating Priyanka Chopra at the moment. Despite all the rumors of an estrangement between the two, after being seen on KJo's talk show Koffee with Karan, the two seem to be cozy enough!
