Does Bolly trivialise sensitive issues?

I have quite a few complaints about how issues that have to be dealt seriously are misconstrued by Bollywood or just badly deals with them

1. Quadriplegics- Here is a case where in this quadriplegic says he has suffered so much in life that he wants to die. My best friend once argued on this topic euthanasia vs. the right to live. Very often people do give up hope in life due to mental, physical stress. Isn't this depressing movie advocating euthanasia over a better hope for tomorrow? I read an article when guzaarish released one of the institutions who deal with quadriplegics trashed the movie for its lack of sensitivity and making euthanasia look like the perfect solution. Their argument was with medical advances it is possible for a better future and they just dont know when

2. Homosexuals- It has become the staple diet of most "comedy" movies lately including dostana. Is that an issue of excessive comedy? We live in a society where in Homosexuals are still treated as "things/curses" instead of normal people.

3. Domestic violence- Guy forces a docile girl to marry him. Girl being the sati savitri finally makes him alright and makes him fall in love with him. Domestic abuse both mental and physcial should be highly condemned

4. Roadside romeos as heros: Usually the heroes are jobless, with thoda sa muscle. Women fall head over heels for them.

Society mimics Cinema and vice versa in a very vicious cycle. SHouldn't we expect more responsible scripts from our great bolly stars?

I'm yet to watch Guzaarish but I believe that it was "inspired" by Spanish film The Sea Inside. Javier Bardem did a fabulous job in the movie which in turn was based on a real life quadriplegic Ramon Sampedro who fought for his right to an assisted suicide for almost 29 years. So such a man did exist and finally his friends helped him in his right to die.

I'm not advocating Euthanasia here. Just pointing out a fact that even if it's marginal, such things happen and it's fine if someone chooses to depict that in a movie.
Now agreeing to your topic, my grouse is against the melodrama (SLB's most films) and insensitivity (like the lame jokes in Dostana) towards serious issues.
