It all trickles down to how one's perceived off screen. That is why better and the more powerful actors such as Sridevi or Manisha are lesser known now, and the the likes of Madhuri and Rani are adulated. Madhuri is known as the "holy" Indian women, and Rani is known to not even touch a man....You and I may not some of the dirty, little secrets; but the commoners are unaware of the tid bits.

Manisha Koirala wasnt as successful because she didnt succumb to the stereotypical shallow roles that were given to bollywood actresses (similar to Konona Sen Sharma). I ADORE Manisha, loved her all the movie that I saw of hers. 👏

oh yeeh...me a sridevi fan too...sadma, lamhe, gumraah, chaalbaaz,khuda gawah, kshana kshanam(telugu movie)....i can ramble on forever...but i think shes the only female actor in bolly who mastered comedy....and shes done remarkably well in all the other genres too...👏

1) Overrated. (Black is Fa kin shiii. It's not half as good as Miracle Worker...forget half, not even a quarter or nickel). Same as above....

2) No, NOKJ is not path breaking. Neither is Hum Tum or Saathiya. 😵 ... but any day give me these movies instead of a torture likeTMK ....

5) Why should I look up to her off screen? She smokes, she curses... Why just her there is nothing to look up in any of the stars... All I care is the entertainment I get....

Apparently, she continued her affair with him even after she got married but this wasn't ever really publicised.

I also feel sad that Sridevi is never mentioned with the same sense of awe and adulation as Madhuri on IF. Sadma was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Lamhe, Mr.India, Chandni - God, she was so flawless in her acting. I just love her.

Madhuri is eautiful no doubt in that but apart from that i fel she is quite overhyped esp after she started judging JDJ-everyone out there just praises praises and praises her. It has become a ritual there to bow down before you speak to MD🥱 This irritaes me a lot. Sri was definetely flawless in her acting esp SADMA. Nobody could have done justice to that role.

i dunt really agree tht they are better than today's actresses...i find kareena(sometimes), priyanka (sometimes), chitrangadha, vidya(sometimes) and koko far more compelling onscreen....they have better, well round roles rather than the uni dimensional(good or bad) characters which rani M and madz used to play....today, i'd rather watch them....and yes..being better than katrina, sonam and deepika is no achievement...especially for such "veterans" 😆

Is it?🤢 And then everyone adores her as the most pavitra actress🤢 Had she not been married i am sure nobody would be giving her so much adulation. I did know abt her affairs with SD but didnt know she slept with him What's up with this pavitra tag on MD? I have seen her in some of the most revealing clothes onscreen plus doing some of the most bold scenes in BW

200 women? *pukes* I never knew that. I think MD dissociated herself with Sanjay when he was accused of illegal possession of arms. Quite a calculated move.

i saw her on dus ka dum and i remember there were some comments like she never curses or swears ? (unless that was sarcasm)
