I don't think he'd overrated. He's immensely talented. He just has this amazing aura about him.

Being the 'best' is definitely subjective so there's no right answer to that question. So for you desigrl05 he might not be, but for others he is, so there's nothing wrong with that😊

But, to be sure, Big B is IMMENSELY talented and is not overrated, especially compared with stars of today. He has proven himself worthy of his craft...and definitely has the "act in acting" down (whatever that's supposed to mean😆)

A big fat NO he's not over rated at all. He deserves all the applaud he's been getting through out his life. He's an amazing actor & very humble person at the same time.

He is everywhere! movies, tv, gameshows, concerts, tassauds, chocolate ads, stationery ads, gujarat ads. Other than probably feminine products, he has just about endorsed EVERYTHING!

while manoj kumar and dev anad had their name fame and disappeared, he still was around.

He also has hefty political connections- formerly close to the dynastic nehru-gandhi family.. was friends with rajiv gandhi.. son of a literary genius harivanshrai bacchan

well he is also mightily talented i guess

but iss industry mein sirf talent le kar kucch bahin banta hain boss :P

he is a great actor but too overrated as a personality
he is overrated because we indians always look forward to some kind of leader in the industry and Amitabh was convenient and around.

I wouldn't consider myself a Big B fan. But I do appreciate the films that he has done and I really admire his dedication towards his work, esp. at his age. His sincerity towards his work can put any 20+ actor to shame!
The man has done so many memorable films....many have been super hits and there have been some shockers there as well (don't get me started on RGV's Aag and that awful movie with Jia Khan!!) but you cannot take away from the fact that the man has worked extremely hard to build a career that any actor would dream of.
Big B is a legend. Agreed that there were many other talented actors during his time such as Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand....etc....but none of them have what Big B has. He is a versatile artist and has personality. (No disrespect to the other legends) Which is why he has fans of all ages. There are times when I poke fun at the B parivaar 😆 esp. with all that IIFA nonsense. But I still respect Big B for his amazing work.
So no...guess I don't think he's overrated😆
