Not necessarily. Prabhu Deva's (Yea he's an actor, dancer) Wanted grossed well. Farah is not necessarily a bad director...I in fact like her creative side...it's just she needs to ditch her husband, like not literally...but at least not let him interfere with the work she does.

I would consider SRK's films with Farah because not all of SRK's movies become blockbusters. A very high percentage do, but not everyone went to see films like Swades, Paheli, or Billu.

And don't forget that when OSO released, it broke all previous box office records of its time before the Golmaals, Aamir films, Dabangg, and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi came along. So according to that, I feel that Farah is somewhat successful even though TMK wasn't all that great

TMK was clearly a flop. You can be the biggest Akshay or Katrina fan out there, but you cannot deny the fact that it did really really poorly. FYI I haven't seen it yet.

Back to the topic I don't think we can make any generalization that choreographers turned directors won't fare well in the industry. I guess those directors had bad luck. I think Farah though is quite creative. I have enjoyed watching her films (leaving aside her recent one). Let's see what the future of the industry holds for us!
