Not many know this, but we'd like to share the info with you. Rohan Sippy had initially approached Saif Ali Khan for the title role in BLUFFMASTER! [the role was essayed by Abhishek Bachchan eventually]. In fact, Abhishek was offered the role of Dittu, which has been portrayed by Ritesh Deshmukh in the film.
However, Saif politely turned down the offer since he wasn't convinced about the climax. "I felt the audience wouldn't accept an unconventional ending," Saif tells me. Now that the climax has come under heavy criticism [the masses are finding it difficult to digest], Saif's judgment stands vindicated.
