Putting to rest all rumours about differences between the two actors, Abhishek Bachchan, said to be the new love in Aishwarya Rai's life, fought back strongly on behalf of colleague and compatriot Viveik No flames over ash: Abhishek Bachchan and Viveik Anand Oberoi
Anand Oberoi, in a recent interview.
Professional player
Abhishek said, "I was being asked pointed questions about Viveik. Arrey, he's a colleague and a friend. Why should I be instigated into making negative comments about him? I said he's a fine actor and a good human being, and it won't be long before he finds his bearings.
We all go through tremendous pressures of pull and push, but that doesn't mean we should start talking against each other. I strongly object to actors bad-mouthing colleagues. Have you ever seen a businessman talk against another… or
any professional going against another? It's unprofessional."
No awkwardness
Striking down all speculation about a rift with Viveik over Rai, Abhishek says, "This is all rubbish. Ash is a colleague, and a dear friend. We've had a ball shooting for Kuch Na Kaho, and I'm looking forward to shooting with her for JP Dutta's Umrao Jaan."
But will these rumours create awkwardness with Viveik? "Not at all. In fact, Viveik is a good friend. We've known each other since Yuva, and there's absolutely no room or reason for any awkwardness between us," Abhishek
winds up.
