Last night I watched Anil Kapoor on Saregama..His anecdotes were eye openers..He said that he never wanted to do 1942 a love story..cause he had a rough & tough image,3 kids and in fact tried hard to get lover boy AmirKhan to do it.When he was forced to do the role..he lost weight(already thin!)..built his body,cut his hair,moustache..and when he reached the location he stunned everyone with his fresh young look..remember "ek ladki ko dekha"😍..Many other stories of how he worked through pain & discomfort....

Abhishek is a very lazy actor..atleast he could have got a moustache and looked more Bengalee..When Amir Showed his fab body in a Dhoti for Lagaan..we were inspired and felt the dedication and rooted for Bhuvan and his motley team..

Abhi was the only sluggish & lose limbed actor in Dhoom2..others including Ash looked super fit and sleek..

If Bira (Raavan)was sexy,with a fab sleek bare body..lust & sin would have made an impact.. His chik chik chik doomed the film..

He is insipid & boring on screen...offscreen he is a nice &even fun guy.

🤢 Sarkar Raaj was a semi-hit at the box office and not a flop by any means. It made nearly 40 crores at the box office!

Some of the points you made is true but lets face it Amitabh Bachchan still has a carrer ( he is still considered to be the top actor) in bollywood whereas Dharmendra and Hema Malini are hardley seen in any roles. And when Fardeens father was there he had some changes now even that is gone. Amitabh Bachchan is Huge and he is still in the business.....I am sure he has more influence than Dharmendra, Hema Malini and the late Ferooz Khan.

Abhi is talented but has zero luck.There are alot of talented and funny personalities in the industry but do all get what Abhishek is enjoying.

But the point am making is, it doesn't matter who your father is, if your not talented no one is gonna watch you on screen. I believe that in Dostana, Abhi carried the whole film on his shoulders. That says a lot. If he wasnt there in the film with his talent, the film wouldn't have been what it was.

Sarkar Raj was in anycase Amitabh Bachchan's film which also starred Abhishek in it!

Ajooni, even though what you have written sounds a bit cruel😆, I think you have nailed it right! Abhishek does not put effort into his role and hence is not able to pull it off! The only film where he did put effort was Yuva and it showed!

Even Bunty aur Babli which is Abhishek's solo hit till date had Rani Mukherjee in it, who was a far bigger star at that time! Plus, the film also had Amitabh in a prominent role and Aishwarya's Kajrare to go for it! Abhishek was once again part of a hit film, rather than being the reason for it!

He does have a wonderful, warm personality off-screen and he is a good actor too...but I do think that as a star he has not been able to prove himself on an individual basis and it looks unlikely that he would be able to do so in the future! He might have a hit in Dostana Part 2 and Race Part 2, but he will be one of the many who played a part in making the film a hit, rather than being the one who carried an entire film on his own shoulder!

I would like to make an example of someone like Arshad Warsi, who is fairly good-looking, very talented and has carved a niche for himself, all this being a complete industry outsider! If he had not made a place for himself through character roles, would he ever have been given 50 films to prove himself in the Industry?

Even Fardeen and Eesha faded into oblivion because their parents do not have Amitabh Bachchan's clout in the Industry! And besides, they are far inferior as actors too! Abhishek is definitely better than them!

But my point was, is he good enough in himself to be offered so many oppourtunities, and that too over 10 years? If he was some random Abhishek so and so instead of being Abhishek Bachchan, do you honestly think, he would have got a producer to make a film like Drona and drown so much of money on a film like that?

He carried Dostana on his shoulders. He was the only funny one in the film/entertaining one. John A was only there to show off his hot body. And we all know how big of a star he is.

And Amitab's film the recent one Rann was a flop. So we can't say that every film that Amitab is in with his son, was only a hit because of Amitabh. Script plays a big role too.

One thing I agree here is Abhi do have a huge case of BAD LUCK.

It is becasue of that bad luck he is still not appreciated for his work but all the credit is given to his last name and now his wife.

Ash- How is she responsible for his career???? Did she help him out with anything. I believe that she gained fro this marriage not Abhi. He got the negativity from this alliance....

Big B - Abhi is his son...no one can deny that fact or change it. Abhi will always be his father's son. But the difference is no other actor has a father or mother as famous as successful as Abhi. So he is always at the recieving end.

Acting wise Abhi has been decent but his luck is not working at box - office. But I do find him very good in serious roles. I hope he chooses movies in a better way.

PS: HE is turning producer adn reviving ABCL. So he is going to make movie and Paa has been his very successful venture but no one talks about Abhi's success but always about his failures...

Abhishek Bachchan would have to struggle a lot if Amitabh Bachchan was not not his father tell me which actor (not a star kid) has survive even after giving 40+ flops. Dostana, Bunty aur Bubli, Guru are just three-five film out of 50 (lets say atleast 30) fims that he did which survived.

Vivek is still doing films. I don't think Abhi is more popular than him. And I don't think VO has a good personality lol. Recall the Salman war, yeah that affected his career badly. Arshad Warsi is not actor material. He doesn't have the looks. Emran is a good actor. He is getting chances. His not sitting at home is he?
