'Salman is bindaas, Bhansali sensitive'

The Salman Khan-Sanjay Leela Bhansali war of words is most talked about right now.

If you have tuned in late, Salman at a charity event is reported to have said, "Arre, usme (in Guzaarish) toh makhi udd rahi thi, lekin koi machhar bhi nahi gaya dekhne. (In Guzaarish, a housefly was flying around, but not even an insect went to watch the film.)" To this Bhansali has retorted, "If such an old and trusted friend can be so insensitive I don't want anything to do with the entertainment industry."

In the middle of this feud, Hrithik Roshan the protagonist of the movie, chose to comment, "It's not heroic to laugh or make fun of a filmmaker just because his box office collections are not up there with yours. Guzaarish is a super success in its own way. And I will be hurt if anyone talks like this about Mr Bhansali. In my opinion a hero never gloats. When you are super successful, it should in fact make you more gracious and loving."

Question: Will this statement go down well with Salman Khan, who thinks of Hrithik as his younger brother? We aren't so sure. We got a few reactions from a few people on what repurcussions Hrithik and Bhansali's statement could have on their camaraderie with Salman.

Trade analyst Komal Nahata said, "The media takes these so-called 'fights' more seriously than the actors themselves. In this industry, people are known to forgive and forget very easily. It's only a matter of time before Salman and Bhansali, Hrithik become friends again. Also, once a film is released, it becomes public property, and anyone and everyone has the right to comment on it. So what Salman did was not wrong. One should not get touchy about it. It's not like he criticised a movie that is super successful at the box office. 'Guzaarish' is a flop, and all Salman said was that not many people went to watch it, which is true! Salman is known to speak his heart out, and that's what he did! No one should hold it against him."

Salman Khan's brother Arbaaz chose not to comment on the issue. He SMSed, "Sorry, I don't have an opinion on everything or rather I don't comment on everything."

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh is of the opinion that this issue needs to be sorted out behind closed doors and not in the media. "After all they have been good friends once and it's not going to be difficult for them to sit and sort it out across the table. Salman is known the joke around and say things in a lighter vein. He is bindaas. At the same time, Bhansali is overtly sensitive about his movies. Hrithik and Salman, too, have been great friends and it would be fun to watch the two of them in a movie together."

Sameer Malik (30), a working professional, seems unmoved by the drama. "It really doesn't make a difference to my life if actors fight. Salman and Hrithik both are good actors. We are more interested in what they do on screen and in their films. I liked 'Dabangg', i haven't watched 'Guzaarish' but I believe Hrithik is very good in the film."

i agree SLB is over senstive about his movies.he can not take bad remarks at all .when a movie is released it is public property offcourse not everyone will klap for movie .even when aamir critisize black it became such a big deal . i dont think salman has actully said all these things but even if he has really said that stuff than what is big deal when in real it is true that guzarish is big flop and SLB movies are too boring for most people .

Ok. First of all we have two topics to carry this over in. A new topic isn't necessary.

Second of all I think Salman is taking advantage of the fact that SLB is sensitive.

Salman has the freedom of speech and he is free to express his opinions, BUT THERE IS A RIGHT PLACE AND TIME TO DO IT!

We will not know what actually happened until SLB or Salman comes out with the truth.

Bottom line is they should discuss this away from the media and sort it out. Salman's act was very low (if indeed all this is true). And in all honestly SLB deserves an apology. Even Hrithik deserves an apology.

Some people are just oversensitive like that & you just got to deal with, BUT you can't take advantage of that and talk crap about their film especially in front of a deaf/blind girl. =/ There's a right place and time to say everything!

other ppl do charity from their own heart without showing off, without making a media spectacle

aam pppl also give charity but we dont have the means like salman to call up media n show ppl "yh look i give charity mate"

so it does not give salman the right to question ppl's charity work etc.

even i didnt like guzarish but why would any1 go as far as to make such harsh and uncalled for comments?

he is doing charity for very long time but it is now that he have made organization so offcourse he has to promote his charity being human to collect max charity .

once he's set on one idea n color u wont see anymore ideas developin or any other colors showing thru in the film

he is acting like every1 shud like this film n doesnt take too well when ppl dnt like it

unless u r called ram gopal varma then no one will like ur film 😆

not every one can be RGV .i dont like his movies at all but i really appriciate him .he has faced the most harsh criticism in bollywood but still it does not affect him ,he still make movies he believe.😆

i'm sure salman and hrithik will make up... salman is not going to have a cold war with hrithik unlike john and shahid... hrithik is the son of one of bollywood's influential people, and they are good friends... if hrithik was one of the outsiders with no influence, then yes this would have gotten ugly...! 😛😛😛

I will be a disappointed if he really said that to some extinct. but I think the media has twisted his words on the dog comment I read another article that said salman said sadly films like these dont work I made one on HIV & not even a dog came to see it he was speaking about his film not Guzaarish I agree it was not the time & place for it but salman says it like it is if ppl hide their true feeling they are called fake if they show it they are called something else

& who wouldnt be upset at someone who keeps saying salman is a dear friend I will surely make film with him I get the feeling SLB tells salman my next film i will do with you my next film i will do with you & keeps giving it to another actor dont be two faced with him. salman obviously doesnt like people like that (ex SRK) 😛
