Celebs you like/dislike due to fanz. - Page 2

Hmmm, thankfully Fangirls and boys don't influence my liking or disliking any celebrity...atleast till now! Or maybe, its cause I make it point to never enter any topic that is titled, 'Oooh....Shahika looking so cuteeeeeee....' or 'OMG....SRK is like the best thing since sliced bread!' Anything which has a subject head like this is literally blaring...TROUBLE!😆

But in general, I am not influenced by what other people think of certain stars! But I do confess to being irritated time and again, when certain fan groups are obsessed with their stars to the point of insanity! When they would never listen to other POV, when they would keep coming up with inane excuses to justify their favorite star's actions, when they would form groups with other fan's and bash the one's who try and put some sense into the proceedings!

Then it does get on my nerves and I do take out part of that irritation (and very rarely anger) on the particular celebrity! But its quite rare...if I don't like a particular star, I mostly ignore him or her or in anycase, am quite detached to be affected!

But there are certain stars for whom I end up feeling sorry / sympathetic because they are relentlessly bashed by fans of their rivals or the media!

For eg, Aishwarya Rai! I still cannot fathom why is she so reviled by everyone? If she is cold and aloof, giggles a lot or refuses to sacrifice her career to have a family, that is really her problem...how on Earth is it affecting other people? Does she go around killing innocent people under her Car? Does she go create an international incident to get publicity for her next release? Does she give unncessary controversial statements against her female co-stars to stay in news?

I am not her fan, never was...but the fact that everyone gangs up against her, makes me want to support her time and again!

On the other hand is someone like Aamir Khan...I really admire the guy and am officially his Fan! I never miss a single movie of his and follow his twitter, blog, interviews ect! But I would never get into a Fangirl supporting mode for him, cause he simply doesn't need or deserve it! Aamir is very shrewd and manipulative and always gets the media / public on his side for any cause he supports! Hence, despite being his fan, I never feel like speaking up for him on any forum or even defending his actions, in those rare occassions when he is squared up!

PS : Surprisingly, its the TV Fangirls and Boys who have succeeded in making me hate certain stars! Maybe, its because you see them daily on television and get to know much more about their lives than you would get to know about movie stars! And its sort of frustrating to see these tweens and teens idolizing their favorite stars on the basis of what they see on-screen! If a character is playing a good guy, the fans just assume that the guy is good in real life too and vice versa! Even if the man is a charltan in real life who will ditch his wife, two-time his girlfriend and try to act fresh with girls young enough to be his daughters!🤢 Admittedly, that does activate my ulcers....not the star or the actor in question, but the deaf, dumb and blind fans supporting them despite everything!

I find it hard to believe that the one's who post regularly on the forum can be one of those! All the regular posters who are die-hard Ash supporters are also some of the forums' most sensible and friendly members! (For eg. Sweet Coco)

I have hardly seen any Aishwarya Fan / Fan group bashing other members on the forum!

PS : Or is it a special undercover Aishwarya Fan Group that believes in the Poison Pen syndrome rather than writing on the forum?

It's interesting that despite having a population of 90% women on this forum, we still have more fan girls for actresses as opposed to actors.
