Let's be honest here.
Sridevi never had a string of hits in her entire career.
She started off the same way as Katrina or Deepika or even Priyanka.
In the early 80s co-starring with Jeetendra in a dozen movies dancing around matkas and jhatkas.
Her hits were few and far between.
She occasionally shone in flop films like Lamhe and Heer Ranjha.
Even during Mahduri's reign, she had her fair share of mega flops.
Kajol has been most consistent.

Also can't blame the audience, b/c it's them who makes or breaks a person's career...if it's entertaining....it will work...and it doesn't matter if it's flop actress or a hit heroine!!!

Ajab Prem KI Ghazab Kahani is equally Katrina's film as it was Ranbir's.

Flop actress anyday!! People respect them more and they receieve more acppreciation. They actually make an effort to challenge themselves and work towards improving their acting abilities.

Sooner or later the hit heroines will realise they must prove their TALENT in order to survive. It's sad how #1 is who has the most hits, event hough al they did in the film was a lil jig with the hero. The industry can be so blind to real talent and they only care about box office. Agreed you must be a bankable star, but talent should eb given more recognition.

I don't think Deepika can be called a glam doll. The only film in which she played an arm candy was Housefull. In KCK, LP, BKB, KHJJS, LAK she has prominent roles which are not just the 2 scenes 5 songs.

Very well said! I agree, Ash and Rani may not have a lot of hits to their credit of late but their performances are appreciated. Just look at Ash, her films made not have been a success this year but each film was different. She showed she can be versatile, same with Rani who is coming back with a bang with No One Killed Jessica. These are actresses who take a risk and are not typecasted.

With Katrina, I like her and its great that she has had box office success but the majority of her films don't showcase how she has grown as an actress. She needs to do more films like New York, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Rajneeti.

With Deepika, I loved her in LP it gave her a chance to show her growing as an actress.
