A lot of ppl are saying Vidya is good in BB. I didn't see anything special about her performance in that film! Yes the last scene was really scary. She did good there, but I heard from somewhere, that they used technology to make her look like that! I don't if it's true, but it could be, because her performance didn't seem real! It was good though don't get me wrong! It just seems like they used technology to make her look scary!

^^trust me...vidyas performance BB was gr8...but it was nowhere close to how scary shobhana was in the original malyalam version, or jyothika in the tamil remake....i couldnt sleep by myself for an entire month after i saw those movies...

I think it is time people stops bringing the yesteryear actors in every topic. This is ridiculous. You cannot say that one has surpassed the other because every actor has their own place. And comparing every "new" breed of actors to the old ones ain't going to work. A few years down the lane, the new breed of actors of today will become part of the yesteryear actors - so what are people going to say then? For example, people now dis the Priyankas and Kareenas by saying that they can't come close to Rani/Preity. But people said the same about Rani/Preity during their prime - that they (Rani/Preity) can't come close to Madhuri/Sridevi. Funny thing is, people said the same thing about Madhuri/Sridevi at their time too - that they are not even closer to Rekha/Jaya. So going by that, it seems that a few years down the lane, people will say the same about today's actors - that the Priyankas and Kareenas were so good, but this XYZ [insert the name of the actor/actress who will be ruling Bollywood then] can't even come close. So yeah, this whole thing about praising the yesteryear actors and comparing them with the current ones makes zero sense to me. I honestly do not see the adulation many of the yesteryear actors - like Madhuri - receives; I feel she is a highly overrated and over-hyped actress who kept on playing similar roles but still maintained a great position in the industry, thanks to her image of a dancing diva. As far as "impact" goes, it is very subjective. Some of Kareena's and Priyanka's performances left a greater impact on me than Madhuri's entire filmography, so yea, it's all very subjective. Sorry, don't mean to demean anyone, but the bringing of yesteryear actors and comparing them with every new actors is highly annoying.

I take back what I said about Tabu. Like Smarie Pants and Xetaxeta pointed out, she has done films from almost every genre. Though I still feel her acting style is kinda repetitive - but come to think about it, the same can be applied for every actor out there.

I seriously fail to see what is so great about Kangana. She keeps on playing her real life personality in every film. All her performances that stood out belonged to the same category - Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Fashion, Raaz, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai - you name one, she played the very same character (the lunatic, depressed woman) in every film of hers. If you have watched some of her interviews, and read about her personal life, then you'd see that her real life personality is no different from the roles she plays. She is not bad, but someone as non-versatile as hers should not be considered great.



Don't want to sound picky, but you honestly think Rani gave "mind-blowing" performances in Ghulam, KKHH, CC, B&B, KANK, etc? Personally I thought she was merely an arm-candy in Ghulam, strictly average in KKHH, CC and B&B, and absolutely lackluster and dreary in KANK.

Wow @PhoeniXof_Hades you just said exactly what I was thinking! That bringing in yesterday's actress to compare them to today's actress is not only annoying but pointless too me! Why do today's actress have to be better or as good as the yesterday's actress! I think is more of wanting to hold on to the past! I agree to that i think Maduri is way overrated! And sorry to say but some of the fans make her look like she is this legend when she is far from it! I wish i can like your post 100 times, but since i can't I will give u this because i agree with pretty much every sentence in ur post 👏

I thought Vidya was real scary ..i hate horror movies, but I ended up watching BB thinking it was a comedy. After watching her in BB I kind of just hated her, that influenced was I of her role in BB lol

Konkana is definitely better than Vidya !!! but Kajol is the best.. u cnt say shez inactive.. she does movies as many as konkana n vidya do !!! 😛

And next to em its Kareena.. she can be termed as the best as of now followed by Priyanka..... !!!

Not comparing her to anyone else but yeh, at the moment I would say she is the best. I think her only disadvantage (if you can call it that) is that she has a very classical face so she cant play the teeny-booper roles but if she could, the girl would knock them out of the park too.

Not yet..Erm...I also think she was underrated, I liked her films and I think she did a good job in Heyy Babyy. Watching Paa was a wonderful experience because it shows she has improved as an actress and in Ishqiya she was portraying a grey character and she did an amazing job. I don't understand why the media always criticises her dress sense she isn't THAT bad, she looks better in Indian dresses I like her in saris. I prefer her to Priyanka anyday I do like Priyanka but she's overrated for me and Katrina well no comment. I loved her performance in Bhool Bhulaiya she did exceedingly well, she was fantastic.

I don't even think Priyanka was brilliant in Fashion, I understand she's become one of the biggest actresses but so overrated big time, and how did she win the National award out of all actresses, actresses like Kareena deserve a National award. Vidya for me is much better, Tabu was good as well I liked her films but yes some of her films she was acting similar.

I think Juhi was amazing as well, I think Juhi was able to do both commercial and non commercial films, she was very underrated I have to say so disappointed to see her not getting enough recognition.

I always liked Kareena's acting she has done some amazing work and for me she is the best actress. Kareena was amazing in Jab We Met and Omkara and I agree no actress can come close to the other actresses because they had a different impact but nowadays you see people who come into acting but they don't have a lot of expressions and emotions.

I think Madhuri was fantastic, I don't understand why she was so big as a dancer rather than actress. I liked her acting and I actually liked her in Aaja Nachle she was great.
