Characters:
Shahrukh as Rahul - Rahul is a very hard-working person. He loves his work more than anything. He has no time to think of anything else than about his work and his family. But one day this changes and that too because of a girl...
Rani as Rani - Rani is a very sweet, caring, loveable, and cute girl. Her family and friends are most important to her. She can do anything for her friend Maya whom she loves the most. She lives for her sister because that's the only person she has. Her parents passed away when she was really young. She is a collage student and very focused on her studies. Her life changes too one day and that also because of a guy...
Madhuri as Maya - Maya and Rani are the best friends. They love each other more than anything. Maya is a sweet, caring girl just like Rani. There is no friendship like that of Maya and Rani.
Saif as Karan - Karan is a very fun loving character. He loves Maya very much but cannot express his love towards her. Maya however has not interest for Karan and she loves someone else.
Abhishek as Rishi - Rishi is a very self-centered person. He loves Rani to death and can do anything to get her. Even if that involves killing. He doesnt care about anything but to get Rani. He tries everything to get her.
Kajol as Anjali - Anjali is a very sweet loving girl. She is Rani's older sister and always helps Rani in times of need. She is the mother of the family because their parents passed away a long time ago when Rani was a baby. She doesn't live for life anymore after this incident. Anjali is living only to bring up Rani and only for her sister Rani...nothing else.
Amitabh as Sam - Sam is Rahul's father. A very loveable and hardworking father.

This is a story of many different relationships that start out as friendship and then eventually turn out into love.
Will Rani get her love? Will Rahul get his love? Will Maya get her love? Will Karan get his love? Will Rishi get his love? Or will their dreams shatter?

Chapter one:
[opening scene: Rahul's house]
Rahul - Good moring dad.
Sam - Good morning son. Ready for work.
Rahul - More than ready. You know there's nothing more important to me than work. I want to make all your dreams come true.
Sam - That's great Rahul. But have you ever thought about your future?
Rahul - There's no time...
Sam - But...
Rahul - Dad oh come on...There's still time for that.
Sam - Kya time time. You have to get married too.
Rahul - Nah. No need...
Sam - Stupid...You will get married.
Rahul - Ok ok...First let me find a girl that I love...

[camera shifts to Rani's house]
Rani - Hi di.
Anjali - Hey my sweetie!
Rani - Everything ok?
Anjali - Yeah why?
Rani - Well you weren't feeling so good yesterday and I was so worried about your health.
Anjali - What can ever go wrong with me?
Rani - Anjali di I know that ever since Mamma and Papa passed away nothing has ever been the same. Everything is on your shoulders. I dont know what I can do to help you.
Anjali - Nothing Rani. Nothing. You just concentrate on your studies. That's all...
Rani - No Anjali. I'm your younger sister. I need to help you.
Anjali - Rani, if I'm living today its because of you, your support, your strength. After our parents passed away i forgot the meaning of life. Nothing is the same. I would have died right then. But I lived for you. ANd only for you.
Rani - I know di...I know [they hug]

Chapter 2:
[college scene]
Maya - So Rani how are you today?
Rani - Fresh as ever Maya. And you?
Maya - I'm always good when you're good! How's di?
Rani - She's fine. I wish I could help her in some way. Every since mom and papa died she's taken over all the responsibility in the house. I want to do something to help her but she wont let me.
Maya - Rani, have you ever thought about getting her married? I mean she's of age.
Rani - I know Maya. Lekin I know di very well. She will never agree to marriage. I mean she's not even ready to live. She's living only for me.
Maya - But still you should try...
Rani - Maybe...
[Karan who goes to the same college knows Rani really well. He comes up running behind her]
Karan - Hey Rani.
Rani - Hey Karan. How are you? I really hope you did your homework because today I'm not getting you any notes.
Karan - Dont worry about that. I did everything. I'm fine sweetheart and you?
Rani - What a flirt! I'm ok. By the way Karan this is my best friend Maya.
[Karan stares at Maya.]
Rani - Karan...?
Karan (stretches his hand out to Maya) - Nice to meet you. I'm Karan. You can call me Karu!
Maya [lookes puzzled] - Hi Karan. Nice to meet you too!
Karan - Ok Rani and Maya. I'll catch up with you two later. Got to go now! [runs off!]
Maya (back to Rani) - Strange friends you have.
Rani - Bechara Karan. He has no one in this world. Really...He needs friends like us the most.
Maya - Why what happened?
Rani - His mummy and papa passed away in a accident. [Tears start forming in Rani's eyes because that's how her parents passed away too.]
Maya (wiping Rani's tears) - Hey Rani...Shh...Its ok...[they hug]
Rani - Maya...Thanks for being there for me...I need you so much. And I promise I will and I can do anything for you! ANYTHING!...I just need you...=(
Maya - Pagli! I love you too...[still continuing to hug]

Chapter 3:
[Rahul's office]
Rahul (talking to himself) - There's just so much work to do around here. I dont know how to finish it all. But dad's dream means more than anything to me...and its my duty to...
[There's a knock on the door and his thoughts are interuppted]
Rahul - Come in.
Secretary - Rahul sir there's someone here to meet you. She is interested in a job.
Rahul - Thank you. Send her in please.
Secretary - Yes sir.
[Anjali walks in] Anjali - Good Morning sir.
Rahul - Good morning. Please have a seat and make yourself comfortable.
Anjali - Thank you. Sir...
Rahul - Its ok..Call me Rahul.
Anjali - S...Rahul I'm here for a job.
Rahul - Any experiences, certificates...?
Anjali - Nahi. Woh kya hai ke I need this job in order to raise my younger sister Rani. She's a college student. We dont have anyone else in this world. I need money for her future. I dont have any qualifications, experiences, or certificates. I just came hoping I would find a job.
Rahul - Well its hard for me to give you a job like that. But if you are willing to work very hard then I may consider you...
Anjali (excited) - Yes si...I mean Rahul...I will be willing to put all my effort into my job. You just tell me what to do I'll fullfill it to my best effort.
Rahul - Ok Anjali. Your job is fixed.
Anjali (smiles) - Thank you so much Rahul. (Exits the office)

[Back at college]
(Far away from a distance Rishi is looking at Rani. He has barely met her...he is the number one gunda or bad guy of the college. He has started to love Rani. And he can go to such a limit to get to her).
Maya - Rani you ok?
Rani - Yeah I am...But who's that guy who keeps looking at me?
Maya - Tum nahi janti? You just stay away from him. No matter what dont you dare go near him.
Rani - I wont...But...
Maya - Just stay away from him dear and that's it.
Rani - Acha tik hai.
Maya - Rani what would you do if I liked the same guy as you?
Rani - Why are you asking such a question?
Maya - Oh just for fun! You know just aise.
Rani - Well Maya you know you mean so much to me. For your happiness I would do anything for you! Anything...Even if that means give my love up for your happiness.
Maya - Oh Rani...You make me cry.
Rani (Smiles) - You and Anjali di mean so much to me!!

[Back at Rani and Anjali's home]
Anjali - Rani...
Rani (Running downstairs) - Yes di.
Anjali - I have great news for you!
Rani - What di? Tell me fast!
Anjali - I have gotten a job at the bigget industry ever!
Rani - Aww I'm so happy for you. And I have to meet who gave you the job.
Anjali - Come with me to work tomorrow and I'll introduce you to Rahul.
Rani - Rahul...? Hmm...(Thinks and then changes the subject) Di..
Anjali - Hmm? What?
Rani - If you dont mind can I ask you something?
Anjali - Of course!
Rani - What have you thought about your marriage?
Anjali (looks down sad) - Rani I'm not going to marry. I cant marry. Mamma aur papa kitne sapne dekhe the for me and you. I cant marry without them...
Rani - Di but we have to move on...
Anjali - You will definitly move on Rani. But I wont. I will not get married.
Rani - Di...(Goes towards her...and gives her a hug) - I will never leave you...Even if that means....(cuts off and doesnt finish her sentence...starts crying)

Chapter 4:
[The next morning]
Anjali - Rani you ready yet?
Rani - Yes I am...Di Maya's coming over. Can she come with us?
Anjali - Sure! I dont mind at all!
Rani - Thanks.
[The doorbell rings and Rani goes to open it]
Maya - Hey love!
Rani - Hey. Come on in. Maya we're going to meet Rahul first.
Maya - Rahul?
Rani - Oh..Um he is the one who hired Anjali di for the job.
Maya - Oh ok...Where's di?
Anjali - I'm coming Maya! I'm so nervous!
Maya - Aww dont be.

[At the office]
Maya - Wow what a big office.
Rani - I know. Di wow! Nice office.
Anjali - Chup.
[Anjali knocks on Rahul's door]
Rahul - Come in.
[Anjali opens the door and all three of them walk in]
Rahul - Um Anjali who are they?
Anjali - I'm sorry S...Rahul...But I wanted you to meet my sister Rani and her best friend Maya.
[Maya just stares at him. In the background a love song is played]
Rani - Hi sir. I just want to say thank you for allowing my sis to work here.
Rahul - No problem. And just like your sis you dont have to call me sir.
Rani (smiles) - Thank you. [She nudges Maya]
Maya (stammers) - Hi...

[Back at Rani and Anjali's home]
Rani - Rahul is sweet.
Anjali - Yes he is.
Rani - Di...
Anjali - No Rani. I already said no marriage for me. Nothing is going to make me change my mind. No means no. ANd Rani dont you ever talk abotu that again. Please.
Rani (sadly) - I only want to see you happy...
Anjali - I'm more than happy Rani. I have you and that's all I need. No I'm not going to marry and that's my promise. (Looks up) - Not without mom and dad.
Rani - But...
Anjali - No means no and now if you bring that up again I'm going to kill myself....

[At college]
Rani talking to Maya - I tried Maya.
Maya (lost in her own world) - Tried what?
Rani - To talk to di about marriage.
Maya - And?
Rani - Its not working. She said if I brought it up again then she would kill herself.
Maya - Oh. Rani...Forget it...=(
[Just a couple of miles away there is a scene created with Rishi. The entire college is watching]
Rani - What's up with him?
Maya - Lets go see...
Rishi (talking as if he's drunk) - Rishi always gets what he wants in life. He never has to beg or ask for it. I love that girl Rani and I'll get her...
(Karan comes up to Rani and Maya) Karan - What's happening?
Rani - I dont know. Karan I dont even know this guy. (SCARED)
Rishi notices Rani - Hi babe. I love you.
Maya - Rani lets go.
Rani barely moves.
Maya - NOW!
Rani still stands still. Karan grabs Rani's hand and the three of them leave the scene.

Chapter 5:
[Rahul's home]
Rahul - Dad I'm home.
Sam - How was work.
Rahul - Great dad. I hired this girl ANjali. She works welll. She has a sweet sister too!
Sam - Acha? That's nice.
Rahul - Yeah...Nice family.
Sam (looks at Rahul) - Ra...
Rahul (cutting his dad off cause he knows what he's about to say) - Dad if you are thinking anything on the lines of shaadi then my answer is no.
Sam - Rahul how long will you keep running away from your dreams in order to finish mine?
Rahul - My whole life.
Sam - I wont let you do that. Neither will your mom.
Rahul (sad) - Dad mom bhi yahi chati thi...that i fullfill all your dreams.
Sam - Then wont you fullfill both of our dreams...?
[Rahul is quiet and doesnt say a word]

[College]
Rani - Maya who is he? Maya I dont even know him? Why is he after me?
Maya - Cool down Rani. Dont worry too much.
Rani - I'm scared.
Karan - Dont worry Rani. Nothing will happen.
Rani - Karan...
Karan - I'll protect you.
Maya - You two talk. I'll be back in a while.
Rani - Maya where are you going?
[Maya smiles and then leaves]
Karan - Rani forget about what happened. He's mad. Rani...if you dont mind can I tell you something.
Rani - Yes Karan.
Karan - Maya...
Rani - Huh?
Karan (doesn't know how to say it) - Rani I love you friend Maya. I dont know when or how but I love her.
Rani (shocked) - Oh ho Karan.
Karan - Can you help me?
Rani - I'll talk to her. No guareentee though.
Karan - Thanks!
Rani (smiles) - Pagal.

[At Rani and Anjali's home]
Rani - Di?
Anjali (setting the table) - Hmm?
Rani - I'm sorry di for last night.
Anjali - Its ok Rani. But no more shaadi talk.
Rani (going over to Anjali and hugging her) - Ok.
[There's a knock on the door]
Rani - I'll go see.
[She opens the door and Sam is standing outside. She doesnt know who he is at this point].
Rani - Aap?
Sam - Are you Anajli?
Rani - No. I'm Rani. ANjali is inside.
Sam - I'm Rahul's father.
Rani - Oh. Come on in.
Sam - Thank you.
[Rani takes him into the main hallway room.]
Rani - Please make yourself at home. I'll go get Anjali.
[She goes to the kitchen to get Anjali. Sam makes himself comfortable ont he couch. Anjali and Rani walk in the room]
Anjali - Hi sir.
Sam - Beti. I have a request.
Anjali (starring) - Ji? Your son has done so much for me.
Sam - I know. Ever since his mother passed away he's been working like a...(stops and doesnt know what to say)...he works like crazy. He has no time for anything but his work. Pagal hai woh. He needs someone in his life. And...
Anjali (cuts him off) - I'm sorry sir but if you've come to ask my hand in marriage then I cant. I cant say yes to this. I'm sorry..
Sam - Please understand. He needs someone in his life...
Anjali - No sir I cant...(Runs off crying)
Rani to Sam - I'm sorry on behalf of my sister. But ever since our parents died in the accident she's stopped living. If she's alive its for me. She cant marry and never will wihtout mamma and papa.And we all know they wont come back...I'm sorry sir but i dont think she'll ever marry. (crys)
Sam (looking sad and upset at the same time) - I'm sorry for coming here. (gets up and leaves)...
[Rani stares at the door as tears pour down her eyes]

Chapter 6:
[The next morning Anjali is sick. She can not go to work. Rani decides to personally go to Rahul's office to tell him. She reaches there and knocks on Rahul's office]
Rahul - Come in. (A little annoyed because so many people have been bothering him. Rani enters).
Rani - I'm sorry...
Rahul (shocked) - No its ok. Please take a seat.
Rani (sad but takes a seat) - Thank you. Woh kya hai ke I came to tell you...
Rahul (interuppting) - Would you like anything? Tea or coffee?
Rani (stares at Rahul)
Rahul (waves in front of her eyes) - Rani?
Rani (coming back to reality) - Hmm? Um no I'm fine thank you.
Rahul - What's wrong?
Rani - Well I came to tell you that di wont be at work today because she's not well.
Rahul - Is everything ok?
Rani (she doesnt wnat to tell raj about his father coming over but she thinks it over adn then tells Rahul the whole sotry)
Rahul (surprised) - Papa came there?
Rani - Ji.
Rahul - Oh I'm sorry Rani.
Rani - No its ok...=(
Rahul - I'll make that up for you. Coffee at 4 pm?
Rani (surprised at his remark)
Rahul - Waise I dont do this kind of stuff...i never get time from work. But in order to apoligize on my father's behalf...
Rani - Its ok...
Rahul - Dont reject.
Rani - I'll cme...Lekin can I bring Maya too?
Rahul - Maya? (then remembers who she was) - Oh...um yeah sure!
Rani (gets up) - Thanks sir. I mean Rahul. (exits the office)

[college]
(Rani goes to college alone today because she had to go to the office first. She usually goes to college with Maya. Rishi and Rani bump into each other).
Rishi - Oh Rani. Hi babez.
Rani - Hi...
Rishi - Dinner at 9 pm?
Rani - I'm sorry. i have other work.
Rishi - Ok...Where do you live?
Rani - What (getting scared)
Rishi - No problem. I'll find out!
Rani (walks away and bumps into Karan)
Karan - Rani what happend? (Looks at Rishi who is giving him the mean looks). Did he do anything?
Rani - No Karan lets go.
(They walk away).
Karan - Did you talk to Maya yet?
Rani - I promise I will. But you keep patience!
Karan - Ok.

[4 pm at the coffee shop]
Maya - When will your Raja come ji?
Rani - Shut up there he is?
Maya (stares) - Rani why didn't you tell me that Rahul's coming?
Rani - Why...?
(Rahul approaches the table and takes a seat)
Maya continues to stare.
Rahul - Hi Rani and Maya.
Rani - Hi.
Maya (stammering once again) - Hi.
Rahul calls the waiter - Three black coffees.
Waiter - Yes sir.
[they finish their coffee in silence]
Rahul - Ok. Rani I'm really sorry about dad. I'll talk to him. I have to go now. Bye!
Rani - Its ok. Bye.
Maya (stares as he leaves)
Rani - Maya...
Maya - Yes (still starring)
Rani - Look here.
Maya turns to Rani
Rani - YOU know Karan?
Maya - Yeah.
Rani - He told me he loves you.
Maya - WHAT? Rani but I love that guy?
Rani (smiles) - Who Karan? Aww how sweet. I love R...(gets cutt off)
Maya - NO RAHUL!
Rani (smile fades. She is surprised and shocked. She is heartbroken. she herself doesnt know when she fell in love with Rahul).
[a sad song]

Chapter 7:
[Rahul's house]
Rahul - Dad.
Sam - Yes Rahul.
Rahul - Dad why did you go to Anjali's house and that too without telling me?
Sam looks down adn doesnt say a word.

[Anjali and Rani are watching TV in their home when suddenly the doorbell rings]
Rani - You rest di and I'll go see who it is.
[She gets up and goes towards the door and opens it surprised to see Rishi standing outside.]
Rani - Tum? How'd u get my address?
Rishi (smiles)
Anjali - Rani who is it?
Rani stares at Rishi.
Rishi - May I come in?
Rani speechless.
Anjali - Rani?
Rishi walks in...
Anjali comes to where Rani and Rishi are.
Anjali - Who's he?
Rani (stares at Rishi and sees the "if you say one thing bad abotu me i'll kill you" look on Rishi's face) - Di he's friend.
Anjali - Then why didn't you let him come in? Come Rishi sit in the livintg room.
They both go forcing Rani to follow.
Rishi - Ms Anjali I have come here to ask Rani's hand in marriage.
Rani (SHOCKED) - WHAT?
Rishi - Please Anjali ji. I love her.
Anjali (surprised) - But your parents?
Rishi (making up lies) - They arent in this world anymore. I need someone and Rani is the perfect one.
Anjali (looks at Rani)
Anjali - Excuse me Rishi. I'll have to talk to Rani about this. (She calls Rani to come over to her and they both get up and go into the kitchen and close the door).
Anjali - This is great. You'll be settled now!
Rani - No di. I dont want to leave you.
Anjali - Pagli chup. What do you say?
Rani - Di he's not...
ANjali - Oh Rani. I think he's perfect. Wont you listen to your di?
Rani - Di its not like that...But...
Anjali- Ok then will you marry him for me?
Rani does not know what to say. She cant refuse and break her di's heart but seh cant marry a guy when she loves another guy and when she knows Rishi's truth...she is stuck and doesnst know what to say.
Anjali - Rani I've seen so many dreams for you. Please dont say no. Just think that it was maa aur papa's last wish...
Rani (looks up and is surprsied. she starts crying) - DI
Anjali (hugs her) - Will you? For us?
Rani - Di...(cries more) (takes a huge breath) - YES DI...
Anjali cried and gives Rani a hug...She goes out of the kitchen and tells Rishi the good news.
[camera shifts to Rani who is sobbing alone.]

Chapter 8:
[At college]
Rani - My marriage is fixed.
Maya - What? With who?
Rani - Rishi.
Maya - NO RANI. NO. You cant marry him. Your sister still doesnt know the truth about him. Do you want me to talk to her?
Rani - No Maya. I know Rishi isn't a good person. And I tried telling di that but she didn't listen. I cant break her heart more than it already is.
Maya - Then you're going to marry him?
Rani - Do I have a choice? (looks very sad)
Maya - Rani...
Rani (wipes tears) - You love Rahul?
Maya - Yeah. He's such a sweetheart.
Rani (hiding her tears) - And Karan?
Maya - Rani please explain to him that I'm sorry and I dont love him. I want Rahul. Can you help me?
Rani - How?
Maya - I dont know. Just help us get together?
Rani - Remember Maya I can do anything for you. Anythig...Even if that means....(turns away from Maya and wipes a few tears)...

[At Rahul's office]
Rahul - Hi ANjali. How are you now?
Anjali - Much better Rahul. I have great news to tell you.
Rahul - Ok. But first I want to say sorry on behlaf of my dad.
Anjali - Its ok. Well Rani's marriage has been fixed and I want to invite you and your dad to come.
Rahul (expression changes from happy and energetic to low and sad) - Rani's marriage?
Anjali - Yeah...so please do come.
Rahul - I...I will...
Anjali - Thank you...

[At the coffee shop Maya and Rani are sitting there drinking some coffee. Rahul not knowing that they would be there also comes there and sees them. He walks towards them and sits next to them. Maya is surprised and shy. Rani just stares at Rahul.]
Maya - Excuse me. I'll be right back.
(Rahul and Rani smile at her as she leaves).
Rahul - Now we've become great friends right?
Rani quiet.
Rahul - You're getting married?
Rani - His name is Rishi.
Rahul - And your happy with this marriage?
Rani - My di is?
Rahul - And you?
Rani stares at him for a moment - Yeah why wouldn't I be. Of course I am...(lying) You know Rahul my friend Maya she loves you.
Rahul (surprised) - Really?
Rani - Yeah...shaadi kar lo.
Rahul - Shaadi? Lekin...
Rani - You both will be so cute together.
(Maya returns)
Rahul - Hey Maya.
Maya - H..I..
(Rani and Rahul stare into each other's eyes and the scene ends with a soft romantic song).

Chapter 9:
[The next day at college. Karan and Rani are together talkinig and Maya is not at college yet]

Karan - Rani no...You cant marry that Rishi.
Rani - Karu I have no choice. And about your Maya...
Karan (sad) - Let me guess. She likes someone else?
Rani - Karan....(looks at him sad)
Karan - Its ok. Its ok Rani you tried.

[At Rahul's office]
Maya - Rahul can I come in?
Rahul - Of course Maya. You here at this time?
Maya - Sorry...
Rahul - Oh no need. Well um Rani told me that...um well...
Maya - I love you...
Rahul - Yeah...Lekin listen Maya. I dont want to break your heart or anything but....

[Back at college]
Rishi - Hey college studs! Listen here! I'm getting engaged tomorrow! WITH RANI! The girl of my dreams.
Rani (stares at Rishi)
Rishi - Come here babez.
Rani moves towards Rishi uncomfortably.
Rishi - Ready for tomorrow.
Rani - Yes (softly)

[The engagement day]
Anjali - Rani you ready yet or not?
Rani (yelling for upstairs) - I'm coming di.
[Minutes later she comes down with a beautiful red saree looking so gorgeous.]
ANjali - Wow Rani..
Rani (smiles and hugs her di. she then looks at he rparents photo and smiles)...
[They both exit the house and go to the engagement location. Rahul, Karan, and Maya are all there. Anjali and Rani walk up to them]
Rahul - Kya tum kush ho?
Rani (stares at Rahul) - Of course...(lying)
[A moment later Rishi arrives and joins the group]
Rishi - Excuse me guys. A little word with Rani.
Anjali - Sure sure. Lets go guys.
[Rani stares at Shahrukh and he stares back. Maya notices but leaves withtout a word.]
Rishi - You ready my princess?
Rani (taking a deep breath) - Yeah
[The ring ceremony begins and they both put the ring on each other and get engaged]

Chapter 10:
[4 months later]
[Rahul's office]
Rahul - Maya...will you marry me?
Maya (shocked) - What? Yes. (happy)
[Rahul doesnt look as happy though. He thinks about his dad and then makes the decision to propose. Maya wasn't the girl he had in his dreams but the girl he had in his dreams was getting marrid herself to another guy].

[At Rani and Anjali's home. Anjali is not home. And Rishi has come to visit Rani. Rishi has turned into a sweet guy now. He isn't the gunda he was once before. But Rani still hates him life before.]
Rishi - How many times do I have to tell you that I'm sorry.
Rani - Rishi galti ek sorry se maaf nahi kiye jate.
Rishi - Look Rani we're getted married now. And I dont think this is the way it should start.
Rani - Then you should have thought first before even proposing. And Rishi its going to continue being like this after marriage. Because I simply dont love you.
Rishi grabs Rani - Rani...You did this for Anjali?
Rani - Yes...
Rishi - Then what would happen if I told Anjali all this?
Rani stares at him mad - Let go. LET GO OF ME.
Rishi lets go...
[The phone rings. Rani runs to get it.]
Rani - Hello...
Karan - Rani...
Rani (looks at Rishi) - What happened? Why are you calling now? You sound upset and sad.
Karan - Rani...Maya...
Rani - MAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA? WHAT HAPPENED? KARAN? KARAN? KARANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN?
Karan - Woh....(doesnt know how to break the news to Rani) - Rani woh hospital mein hai.
Rani (shocked) - HOSPITAL????????????????????????
Karan - Mumbai hospital. Come here and then we'll talk.
Rani drops the phone dead and starts sobbing. Rishi comes towards her...
Rishi - Rani...?
Rani (forgetting all that happened before) - RISHI LETS GO NOW. MUMBAI HOSPITAL...NOWWWWW
Rishi - Rani...(takes his car keys and they both rush to the hospital)
[When they get there everyone is already there. Karan and Anjali both are there as well as Rahul and Sam. Karan comes up to Rani]
Karan - Rani...
Rani (in sobs) - Kaise hai woh? How is she? Is she ok?
[Rahul comes to Rani]
Rahul - Rani...
[Rani not ready to hear anything. She grabs Rahul forgetting who he is forgetting she loves him, forgetting Maya loves him...and crys. Rahul hugs her]
Rahul - Its ok...
Rishi and Karan go away and talk.
Rishi - How is she?
Karan - Very critical. Chances are low.
Rishi (sad)
[They both join everyone again. Minutes later the doctor comes out. Rani runs to him]
Rani - Doctor. How is she? Tell me she's ok.
Doctor (looks down)
Rani (screams) - CHUP KYUN HO? TELL MEEEE....
Anjali coming over to Rani - Shh...Rani...
Rani - ANJALI DI CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW SHE ISSSSSSSS....PLEASE...
[Karan, Rishi, and Rahul come to Rani. They all hug her. They take her inside to where Maya is. Rani runs to the bed.]
Rani - Maya...
Maya (weak) - Rani pagli.
Rani (takes Maya's hand) - Maya...
Maya - Pagli. Remember when that day I asked you what would you do if I loved the same guy as you....
Rani (cuts her off) - I DONT LOVE RAHUL...
Maya (shocked) - What? But when did I say Rahul?
Rani (very quiet)
Maya - Pagli. For my happiness you were about to ruin your future, your life for someone you dont even love...
Rishi looks down sad... Rahul leaves the room. Anjali is shocked.
Maya - Pagal.
Rani - I dont love him Maya. I dont.
Maya - I'm your best friend. And you cant hide anything from me. Yes I loved Rahul and Rani he proposed to me. I said yes. Lekin I saw his face...it wasn't of happiness. And then I rememeber the engagement day how you two were starrign at each other. Yeh pyar nahi hai to kya hai?
Rani quiet.
Maya continues - Rani, yes I would have happily married Rahul for I love him. But would I still marry him knowing that I wouldnt get the love from him...?would i still marry him knwoing he was always lost in your thouht? And right now this moment would I marry him knowing that I am dying...
Rani - SHUT UP MAYA....YOU'RE NOT LEAVING ME EVER...
Maya - Pagli...I'm dying...
[They both cry hard. They continue to cry. Minutes later Karan comes. He touches Rani on the shoulder.]
Maya noticing him - And you Karan? Couldn't even express your love towards me?
Karan looks away...
Maya - And now when Im dying...Say it Karan...Say it...
Karan silent
Maya - Let me hear those words before I die...please
Karan takes Maya's hand - I love you...[He cries and then goes out of the room]
Maya - Tum sub pagal ho...Aur Rishi...I'm sure you'll find a great girl. You're not a bad guy...
Rishi - I'm sorry Maya...
Maya - No I'm sorry...Rani full fill one wish of mine.
Rani - SHUT UP.
Maya - You shut up. Marry Rahul....
Rani is quiet.
Maya - P...l...
Rani - MAYA? DONT LEAVE MEE...
Maya - P...L....E....A....S...E....(takes her last breath)
Rani in sobs - MAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...NO YOU CANT
[scene ends as she continues to sob...]

Chapter 11:
[ A few days later everyone is gathered at Rani's house because Rani is not well.]
Karan - Rani eat something.
Rani - No Karan.
Rishi - Please....
Rani - No Rishi....
[Rahul comes and sits next to Rani]
Rahul - Rani...I love you...
Rani looks at Rahul (song in the background)
Rani - Rahul...
Rahul - Please eat something...
Rani - No...Please....Rahul...
Rahul - I really do love you...
[Anjali walks into the room]
Anjali - Rani eat...Please...How many days will you starve yourself like this?
Rani - Anjali di tell me...Tell me why is it always me? First dad, then mom, now Maya...Di you wont leave me nah?
Anjali - No Rani...Never...:( Rani...Rahul se shaadi karegi?
Rishi - Yes Rani...
Rani looks up...She looks at Anjali and then at Rishi
Rishi - You love him...and he loves you....then who am I to come in between...
Rani - Rishi...
Rishi - I'm been a bully all those years in college. You deserve someone so much better than me. Rahul is perfect.
Rani stares at Rahul...
Rani - But di...
Anjali - I know Rani....It was my fault. I never even heard you out. I made the decision for you to marry Rishi. I'm sorry.
Rani - No di...
Rahul (proposes) - Will you marry me?
Rani smiles btu is shocked. She looks at Rishi who nods his head. Then she looks at her di who always approves. Finally he looks at Karan who is in tears because he lost his love...he nods as well.
Rani - Yes Rahul. And Karan I'm sure you'll find your love soon...And Rishi you too. Rishi tum bohot ache ho...
Rishi and Karan both smile...

[Wedding day]
Rani - Di..thank you...
Anjali - Rani...i wish mom and papa were here.
Rani - I know...[they hug]
[Rani and Anjali then both go the the wedding hall. Rani is all ready with her beautiful red and blue saree on. Rahul soon enters in a cute sherwani accompined with Rishi and Karan and his dad Sam]
Rani - Ey Rahul! Mujhse dosti karoge?
Rahul smiles - Nahi...! Shaadi kar raha hoon...=)
Rani smiles =)
[Rani walks up to Rishi]
Rani - Rishi I'm sorry...you're really a great person...
Rishi - Its ok Rani...I'm sorry too...now go! Get married! =)
[Rani then goes to Karan]
Rani - Karan...[then she thinks about Maya]
Karan - Rani...she'll always be in our memories!
Rani smiles and hugs Karan... - Thanks Karan for always being there.
karan - Now go...Rahul's waiting.
[Finally before the marriage ceremony starts she goes to Anjali who is with Sam]
Sam - Thank you Rani.
Rani - Papa for what?
Sam - For accepting my son. he really needs some love in his life.
Rani (tears in her eyes) - Papa...[they hug]
ANjali - Meri behan kitne sundar lag rahi hain...
Rani - Di I love you....[starts crying]
Anjali - Pagli...go...Rahul's waiting....
[slow song]
[Rani goes to Rahul...]
Rani - I love you Rahul...
Rahul - I love you Rani....

[Rahul and Rani get married happily. They are a happy married couple. Anjali never marries but she stays with Rani and Rahul throughout her life. Rishi meets a new girl in his life and they both settle down. karan...bechara Karan. He's still a bacholer...But he's a big flirt all right!
Karan and Rani's friendship remains forever. And Rishi and Rani also remain friends...
