Salman Khan Son of famous scriptwriter Salim Khan, he has carved a niche for himself. Despite his habit of getting into trouble, he is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood as proved yet again by the brilliant opening of DABANGG | |
We are three brothers and were extremely naughty as kids. I was eldest and the naughtiest of all. In fact, I used to lead my brothers Arbaaz and Sohail into trouble. But I was the one who always got the beating — not the younger two. Once, when Sohail, the youngest, was about five years old and we were playing hide and seek or house or some such game, we hid Sohail in a cabinet. Then Arbaaz and I merrily went off to the Bandra fair at Mount Mary's leaving Sohail in the cabinet. On the way Arbaaz kept telling me, ''Salmanbhai, shouldn't we check if Sohail is all right?'' And I kept answering ''Don't worry, mum and dad will find him.'' But when we returned from the fair, Sohail was still locked inside the cabinet. When we took him out he had wept himself to sleep. Boy, did I get the beating of my life from my father! Arbaaz was, and still is, the most sensitive of us all. He couldn't bear to cause anyone pain. Once we broke a neighbour's window and were so scared that we locked ourselves in the loo and refused to come out. My dad was so furious that he broke open the window, dragged us out, and again I got a beating I will never forget. I was always getting beaten by my father while the other two escaped. To think that little Sohail who used to be bullied by me is now directing me is funny. Though I was the eldest, I was the most irresponsible of the three brothers while Arbaaz was the most responsible and sensitive. I used to chase girls too. We used to go to the Mount Mary fair only to look at the pretty girls! |
