"We plan to build homes in Jaffna where people are in desperate need of good homes and living conditions. Habitat for Humanity is already involved in relief work there and I am looking forward to helping them," says the superstar.
The actor however is not ready to discuss too much about the association of the Being Human Foundation with the cause.
"I will be honest… we haven't yet got the 80G certificate and so I really shouldn't talk much about it. But with me there Being Human is automatically a part of it as well," says the actor.
The superstar also says he will be performing on the night.
"Of course I will perform. I am not going to go all the way there and not perform," he says with a smile, "We are yet deciding what songs and stuff but I will be performing that's for sure."
Salman was his true mischievous self at the IIFA press conference this afternoon. Arriving an hour late, the actor quietly slid into the venue and was heard clapping the loudest at the end of every segment. In fact his association with the IIFA charity cause was kept till the very end and when Sabbas Joseph, the director of Wizcraft, mentioned the name Habitat for Humanity, Khan who was seated on the first row just jumped up on stage shouting this was about him and wouldn't even allow Joseph to complete his cue.
The actor took to the stage and confirmed his association and presence with habitat for Humanity. He was also given an honorary ambassadorship of the charitable organization. And while at the moment Sallu bhai maybe associate with the Sri Lankan arm of Habitat for Humanity, we hear he is looking to tie up with the international organization in India as well.
