Is deepika only popular because...

Do u guys think Deepika is only so popular today beacuse of her debut with SRK. I like her and i think shes a good actress but sometimes i feel shes only got this huge poularity due to her debut with SRK. If she didnt debut with SRK do u still feel she would be as popular as she is today. And im not talking about her acting skills here im just talkin bout her popularity.

Do give ur views guys.

im sorry to say but i dnt think deepika is all that i havent seen love aaj kal so i cant judge how well she did shes got a long way to go, maybe she has gone popular because she was with shahrukh i dnt knw shes not my favourite actress

I disagree with your theory, I don't like Deepika but her success is her own. SRK gave her the rope sure, but she climbed it on her own. If your theory is correct, can you explain Anushka's situation. She too debuted with SRK that too directed by Aditya Chopra (the "celebrated" DDLJ director) but her popularity has reached nowhere to where Deepika is at this point in her career.

The girl's got the X factor/charizma everyone talks about even if she can't act or say a dialog for peanuts.

Dear in this days every newcomer get his lucky charm by a famous actor. Look to Katrina, an actress with zere acting skills, but some how she has got a big name in this industry...

Well, I think she had a debut every new comer dreams of, but at the end of the day after the debut she's on her own and she can't carry on with just on ehit. If she wants to be on the top and one of India's leading ladies then she has to consistently do well. And as of now she's considered one of Bollywood's leading ladies, so guess she's done well for herself. Of course, it's only the beginnnig and she has a long way to go and I hope she has a very long career.

First of all is it really easy to get a role opposite SRK? i mean the first movie with SRK? i'm sure there was something that farah , srk saw in her that they casted her...

Deepika has just been 2 years in the industry and already done 5 movies , 1 special appearance ,1 item song ... and she had ALOT of fans... do u think all this is because she made her debut in OSO???

Ofcourse she got alot of fame with OSO but later on its was her own hard work.

Even i agree with that Deepika need to improve in her acting , but we need to give her time, i think she was quite nice in LAK, and KCK ...

I Sort of agree,as well as disagree...Yeah,the srk Debut helped her gain mileage,but after that,it was her own journey...!!..She has the x-factor,plus she s Extremely pretty..So yeah,she worked for the fame on her own,mostly..
Anushka sort of dissapeared after RNBDJ..if she had kept herself in the limelight,she would have had more success on her way..plus RNBDJ was much less a success than OSO,or even Ghajini,which released with it..

We make our own luck, our own fortune. SRK did happen to choose Deepika amongst God-knows how many other super models. The same goes for Imtiaz Ali, who decided to take her when there were other actresses available. Why did they? There must be something in her, right?

I don't like her much either. Personally, I don't find her pretty or all that gorgeous, and I can't stand her dialogue delivery either, but at the end of the day, she got what she got by her own merits. It could be hard work, it could be her connections, it could be her acting skills (something that I do not see, but apparently, many do), or it could be the X-factor, but not chances after chances that did it.

If someone scores 600 sixes consecutively on a game of dice, would you call him "lucky"? Would you not assume that he did it by some means, some logical way? Maybe he cheated, maybe he bewitched your eyes, maybe he knows a few tricks. "Chance" or "luck" alone doesn't prove anything.

Taking the law/theory of probability at hand, the whole notion of "luck" makes no sense.

i think shes popular because shes GORGEOUS!
