I don't blame Kat for refusing this film at all...Before there were only news about Ran-kat doing this film with no second lead whatsover....So where did the second lead spring from???..

Personally, I believe she made a right decision coz comparison will be bound..

.I am sure Ranbir will stole the whole show! :)

All these wild and phantasmagorical conjectures about Katrina opting out of a movie?? And people say that she is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things that they couldnt care less about her career or lack thereof.. she is only a show-piece and doesn't merit any serious discussion.

I am amused at how confident people her about her motives to opt of a movie. it's nice to know people are such great clairvoyants about the inner thoughts of Bollywood actors. Just to put a contrary view here.. maybe she opted out because she has the luxury of taking her pick. When you have Imtiaz Ali, Anurag basu, Farah Khan, Zoya Ali, Karan Johar all running after you, you can afford to be snooty about your choices. Most of the other so-caled top actresses forthcoming portfolio look hopelessly bare and sometimes scarily non-existent. When you have one movie in your kitty for the next 12-18 months, you wouldn't have the luxury of playing rock-paper-scissors with your movies, would you?

I agree...Although, I ain't a fan of hers but I have come to the facts that most of the top directors are crazy about her and wants her in film irrespective of anything....She is one lucky girl...

I can remember some of the people here who are saying ridiculous things like Katrina is a 'chicken', 'weak' or 'its like a tantrum that she refuses a movie' that when their favorite refuses a movie because they dont like the script of and the dirctor stands by his script and the actress walks out of the movie then the fans of the actresses start attacking the director and says the director is always like this but when it comes to others who arent their favorite suddenly their opinion changes and its no longer that 'the director is like always like this' or 'he is rude' or ' she have right to choose the movies she wants to do' but now those people says the actress is a 'chicken, 'weak' or since she is refusing a movie its like the actress throws a tantrum wow some people really wants to show others bad and when it comes to their favorites suddenly their opinions changed...

I am very very happy about Katrina's desicion first of all this movie is almost about Ranbir's character and if that was not enough there is going to be 2 leading ladies in this movie which means the roles would be smaller compared to if there was only one leading lady...

this movie first was going to only star ranbir and katrina which anurag keeped saying and he talked about where the movie is going to be shoot etc.. he did never talk about 2nd leading lady and he still havent.. then these rumors start it.

I am sure Ranbir is going to be FANTASTIC in this movie and Anurag is an awesome director but the truth is also that this movie is atleast going to be 70 % about Ranbirs character so great desicon by Kat to refuse it when she gets much better offers then this.

so good Katrina refused it and the reason why she refused it is because she is getting much better offers and of course anyone would pick the best of the the best which Kat also does... thats why she also refused Thank You for Tees Maar Khan. Even she is now having 2nd thoughts about doing Italian Job remake😉she have become VERY choosy about her roles.

Ok Anurag says something completly else in his Stardust march 2010 magazine interview:

"Contrary to reports, Katrina is the only leading lady I've narrated the script to. She loved it and she's my first and only choice" he said.

Mid-Day could have just writed something false and i wont even be surprised because thats what they are famous for.

Or maybe the rumors are true that Anurag did change the script at the last minute...

It would be so embarrasing if the article by mid-day is false because this topic reached so many pages with out any reason thanks to mid-day😆

So, if tons and tons of directors and producers are crazy over taking this talented piece of an actress that Katrina is on their respective movies, then I guess I'll have to limit the number of movies I'll be watching in the near future. Tolerating Katrina's constant giggles and the one-dimensionality of her "acting skills" is like enduring a real Katrina (Hurricane) with open arms. 😛

Well all there is to it is that she should have stayed to atleast prove that she can indeed act by standing up to PC's acting capabilities and holding her own. But Oh well. And I love PCC so im happayy she's doing an Anurag Basu moviee. Hope it is truu!

just my thought but based on acting skills i think kat is intimidated by other actresses. maybe thats why she wants t be a solo actress cuz she ownt be compared to others.

if this is a reason then its not a wise chioice on kats side. working with other actresses better then her can be a postive learning experience

I am sure imtiaz too had some actresses in mind before writing and finalising the script..Probably they refused..

Ranbir beta sudhar ja...girls are trouble epecially when they are bigger stars than you!-they have their own power play and ego hassles..Had U been Shahrukh..the scene would have been different😉
