The only way this film can be nominated for an oscar, is let the American people watch this film, They should have opened the film in every City in the USofA and they should also have show Ads in American TV about the film like Slum dog Millioare.

wait arent they going to do that anyways?? because on YT there's an International Trailer as well with complete English dialouges and some subtitles ....anyways it would be too late for this year's Oscar...the nominations for the Academy Awards has already been announced and the Foreign Film frontrunner is The White Ribbon from Germany(it won the Golden Globe)...so no luck this year...
I hope that Indian audiences (or board or academy) of film send this movie to the Oscars for next year for India...it definately could be worthy

what i dont understand is, this is FOX prductions, the biggest & most famous international production house which bought the rights to the film, so its THEIR duty to promote it worldwide and in a big & extravagant way like they do for all their other films
but nothing like that is being done for MNIK! its not fair!
i thought, WOW, for the first time Fox are backing an indian film so they'll do something big with it but they arent!
its doing well anyway worldwide as usual though (meaning all asians are watching it)
i hoped/thought all the gora rang people would watch it (fans or non fans)
its a film which deserves to be known literally worldwide
the message of humanity is lovely

^ its not a 20th Century Fox film is it??...the one that promotes commercial Hollywood movies... I know this is Fox Searchlight film....the same one that produced Slumdog Millionare,Juno,Little Miss Sunshine,Crazy Heart,500 Days of Summer etc...
Fox Searchlight isnt a huge company..its sort of like a daughter company to 20th Century Fox and it produces indie and international films for the American market...and in those conditions all movie that come under companies such as this only have a limited release in the US that is only in selected cities in certain theatres...so only an ardent forgien film fan would go and watch MNIK in theatres (for Americans)....
so my hope is that MNIK gets nominated for an Oscar for Foreign Film category...rather than the regular Best Film

yeah but this is Fox Searchlight...they dont need to advertise heavily..they dont have that big of a budget...that's what makes the film "indie" because its not for a commercial market (atleast not in the US) it is for those heavy film fans who go and watch movies that are completely "out there" and are genuinely good films rather than the rom-com stuff Hollywood produces like Valentines Day....
but I do really hope that it does get a worldwide release
