i agree. as much as we all love sharukh khan and kajol and the movie, i dont think itll be in the oscars, much of it was extremely hard such to believe and didnt live up to the expectations of movies such as kabhi kushi kabhi gham. i live in canada and if someone who was not indian watched this movie in canada or america, they wuld defintly not relate to it. just my opinion

I would support Road going to the Oscars though I haven't seen both movies.

Oscars is far too big of an ambition. Times of India website has people's opinion about the movie under movie review. Most people in and outside India have disliked the movie. After reading that so many people have not liked it at all, I think only SRK-KAjol hard core fans are loving it while others aren't.

I guess we will wait and see, Bollywood need to make movies like lagaan, Mother India, salaam bombay etc, I think for next year They might nomenate Thanks Maa its very touching story
