remember the furor in mumbai when raj thakeray was arrested..?..well i wonder if it will be possible to stay alive here if bal thakeray is arrested..he n his marathi manoos will fry us alive with all the riots n stuff.!!!..so i guess even the govt doesnt have d power to stp this non-sense..as a mumbaikar,i can say tht shivsena does some good-work as well.they helped our building solve the water-related problems and got our building an NOC too.😆.they r just unbelivably over active for all the wrong reasons..!!!

^Yeah even the RSS does a lot of charity work here - more so than most other political parties. But then they go around and threaten and terrorize people.

ya.shivsena is actually the most helpful party out here,solves our day-to day problems,but them do all this,n no one remembers the good stuff they have done..!!

I am sorry, Aneesha, but I have to disagree with you.Even Hitler did a lot for Germany, infrastructure-wise and progress-wise, but does that compensate for his atrocities on Jews? I think not. I don't think it's possible, or right ,to separate these two aspects of a person.

As for the Sena and MNS activists getting arrested, is that really the solution? These are not a handful of people who have lost their senses... unfortunately, like every fascist in the past, they have an almost cult following of members who have absolutely no scruples and are willing to break every law in the book to have their way. That's the scary part.

For people who don't know much about the Sena, I suggest you read 'Maximum City' by Suketu Mehta. A real eye-opener.

Every discussion about MNS and Shiv Sena leaves me scared honestly. How such tyrannical ideologies are becoming a part of the mainstream is shocking. The major problem I think is that NCP-Congress want the MNS v. BJP/Shiv Sena power jostling to continue so that they eat into each other's vote banks and they themselves keep winning. The new Marathi-Taxi Driver law thing is after all Congress' idea.

And the kind of ideology the MNS is pushing is eerily reminiscent of Hitler in Germany. They are making the immigrants the scapegoats for all the problems in Maharashtra.

SS should bother about improvement of Maharashtra in terms of the city's growth and stop picking up such issues.

Oh, the videos out....scary right?! U all shud check out the IBN7 one...it was BAD. I didnt wanna right out that it was scary since it wasnt being taken seriously till last night. But This is exactly what I meant by saying these people whether in power or not will do as they want....no one has and no one will stop them. Bcoz whether we like it or not, they are wat u can call as open criminals who nobody really wants to mess with. Specially no political parties cuz wen in the world has any political party really cared about the people in the last 10 years? They are all commerical people looking for their own benefit.
