I think they should change the format of giving National awards. They should introduce public voting.. So that all our so called "itellectual" junta and critics on twitter and online forums.. have a say at selecting winners. Then atleast the jury and the stars winning these awards wont have to go through this torture. Seriously winners have to tolerate so much backlash.. that I am sure if things dont change then people will be afraid of winning these honours.. lol

Adios go on twitter and just type saif. They're not targetting the Padma awards. The backlash is against SAIF. Its so pathetic, coz its not liek saif asked for it.

People are ridiculing him, his career, and most of all, his personal life. I've read countless tweets saying saif won the award for the tattoo on his arm, crude jokes about dominance over Kareena, ditching women, whatnot.

Its so disgusting.

Yea Desu that is what I am saying.. let this mahaan tweeting junta choose a winner themselves.. if they cant trust the jury! Then if the winner turns out to be someone funny then they can curse each other all they want. 😆

Not even his friends Karan or Preity congratulated him on twitter. Coz of the backlash. You dont relaize how immense the backlash was. Tweets were coming in at about 10/sec

Desu almost every mainstream bollywood actor has faced criticism... in past.. except I think Aamir.. People make fun of mainstream stars but also go and watch their movies.. this is just the way it is.. it cannot be changed! I guess some lucky ones or should I say.. the ones who are not so controversial.. get away with it.. but most of the stars are always under constant criticism.

I just found out Ebrahim Alkazi got the Padma Vibhushan. Now that is definitely well-deserved. This is the man who has trained actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur and Rohini Hattangadi and founded the National School of Drama. 👏

Apart from that, I do feel bad for Saif to some extent. Its bound to happen with every award though. People made quite a few jokes about Arjun Rampal winning the National Award too on twitter.

^^ Wow nice to know about winning of NSD's founder. NSD has indeed produced some of the finest actors. I agree with the notion also that it happens with every subjective award. Now I have started disliking all these awards based on performances.. specially acting.. they all come with their uhh aahss.. oh this is overrated oh that is bad.. oh this is biased.. 🤢 Give me a break.. 😆 I prefer awards for sports or a thing with clear and definate winner much more now! Atleast in a race.. when runners run.. there is a clear and concise winner.. but in these awards.. its just a headache.. 😆
