Midweek B.O.: '3 Idiots' re-writes history, bigger than 'Ghajini'

Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, Omi	An outstanding, incredible, superb film in all respects	Difficult to find	Has had an earth-shattering, mind-boggling weekend. 'Ghajini' opened on Wednesday [previews] and its total for 4.5 days was approx. Rs. 39 crores. '3 Idiots' opened on Thursday [previews] and its total for 3.5 days would exceed Rs. 40 crores, as per early indications. It is the biggest opener ever
Paa	Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, Arundhati Naag	Performances by every member of its cast, especially Amitabh Bachchan as Auro, plus R. Balki's sensitive direction	Script could've been tighter [the political track doesn't work]	Hit, on the basis of its excellent business at plexes. Plus, the revenue generated from non-theatrical avenues [Satellite] has helped recover its reasonable costs
