Ranbir-Dippy spotted together for first time after split

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were spotted together on Saturday night. The former flames stepped out of a five-star hotel at Worli and took off in a waiting car.

This is the first occasion the OSO girl and the star son have been seen together after their split in October.
The couple was at a greet-and-meet bash hosted by the hotel for their top guys. The event was organised by Bhavana Pandey and had several B-Town folk in attendance. Among the guests were Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Kaajal Anand.

Says a source, "Ranbir and Deepika arrived separately for the event. They were cordial at the bash. It was the first time they were spotted together after they parted ways."

Adds the source, "They took everyone by surprise when they left the venue together." Onlookers were surprised to see both zoom off in Ranbir's car. Are they trying to work it out? Or did bumping into each other serve as an opportunity to sort out differences? Or did they perhaps give each other a earful about what went wrong?

Both Ranbir and Deepika remained unavailable for comment.

A precedent?
After their break-up, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra -- shooting for different films -- were put up at the same hotel in Bangkok. They made up soon after.

They're still friends. Why is it so hard to believe that they left together and it has nothing to do with them getting back together? :P

The media always does this, I remember when a big deal was made because Dino and Bipasha were seen together. Break ups don't always have to be a bad thing, I think it's great that Ranbir and Deepika can still be friends.

A few days ago, we had carried a story about how Ranbir Kapoor wanted to get back with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone (Mumbai Mirror, December 4, Ranbir wants Deepika back). The opportunity came knocking on Saturday night when the duo was invited to a party hosted by jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor and fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. Although it wasn't Ranbir who made the first move, those present at the party were successful in getting the estranged couple to talk.

A source present at the party says, "The party which was held after a fashion show, was a star-studded, high-profile bash. Shah Rukh Khan was present with his usual gang of friends, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal with wife Mehr, costume designer Shabina Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh. Sonam Kapoor (who was once reportedly dating Ranbir) was also present at the party and so was Nandita's boyfriend Dino Morea. Deepika stuck to her Houseful co-star Ritesh's side throughout, while Ranbir was seen socialising with everyone. Though aware of the presence of each other, both Ranbir and Deepika avoided eye contact. The cold vibes was sensed by one and all."

It was evident that the estranged lovebirds were deliberately avoiding each other. The source adds, "To cut the cold vibes, Karan and Shabina took the initiative to get the two talking. Everyone joined hands and kept pushing Ranbir and Deepika close to each other. Eventually their effort and persuasion paid off and the ice began to thaw. It happened when the duo was forced to sit at the same table, next to each other. They began by gradually exchanging smiles and later, a few words. It was just a matter of time till the couple began having a full blown conversation."

There was a sigh of relief and happiness all around.🤡(sure sure)

We messaged Ranbir and Deepika to confirm the story but both remained unavailable for comment.

P.S. Media will never admit they got it all so wrong!It is funny how both tabloids are taking extra pains to show that the 2 are actually meeting for the first time.They just know EVERYTHING

The industry pressure may be on the 2.They are the hottest young stars this year, and there are films to be made..

As long as Deepika doesn't neglect her career,it is OK,I guess it is her life,I want her to be happy...😊
