I started shopping online
Because I got really busy and could not go anywhere. Also, sites started delivering to India.

But the problem is
There is a major tax, which is ridiculous, so it's not very viable. I go through websites and see what I like, jot down the serial number and then when I go abroad, I visit the store with the details.

My latest rubbish buy
I bought a gizmo-looking hand fan because it gets really hot on set with the make-up on, but that broke. Then I got an Indian fan a grey one.

outnet.com. Most websites have sales when the season ends. shopstyle.com lets you put email alerts for designers. I really wanted a vintage Levis and put an alert for any Levis that goes on sale anywhere in the world.

Best time to shop online
For India, it's summer. However, in Jan-Feb, stuff goes on sale. But this is the Internet so any time is a good time.

I shop mostly for
Books and DVDs. I don't download. I have all the seasons of Bones. My mom is tired of all the Amazon stuff in our house.

I shop for gifts online
Most sites have an option where you can giftwrap the purchase and have it delivered. The billing address and the delivery address are different.
