Anu Malik to compose ghazal for Umrao Jaan By IndiaFM News Bureau, November 12, 2005 - 03:56 IST This bit of information comes as a surprise. But Anu Malik, will be deviating from his brand of music and will be composing a ghazal for J.P.Dutta's Umrao Jaan. While Asha Bhosle was the voice for the original Umrao Jaan, the modern version of the character will have Alka Yagnik singing for her. For Anu, Alka was the first choice to sing his ghazal. This project is a big challenge for him. Everyone from music director Khayyam to Asha Bhosle from the team of the original Umrao Jaan is waiting to hear what Anu can come up with. So are we, Anu!
