Didn't Kurbaan release today? How can they make conclusions based on half a day. 😆

I think at least the weekend should be given prior to making judgments on the status of a film.

Well life is stressful as it is.. so I guess people are wary of watching content which is gloomy.. unless it is something which is thought provoking.. that is why I always say that in message worthy movies I always like Aamir's stuff cauz he doesn't get into big lectures and just shows stuff with ease.. Kurbaan is getting good reviews so that is great.. and good reviews do translate into good bo office.. most of the times.. and if the movie is good then word of mouth.. can also help.. I think Kurbaan will definately pick up.. its too early to respond on its status..

Kurbaan's not everyone's cup of tea. Its VERY dark and the climax left ppl with mixed feelings. On top of it, it has an A certificate, there are so many other movies playing in the theater (2012, APKGK, Tum Mile), and its just the first day, lol

Well, I don't think that anything is declared about the status of the movie yet.

It only says it opened to an average response. That happens. Just because a movie opens to an average response does not mean it will flop or will not do well.

Although, it's understandable. Timing is not good with the 26/11 around the corner, so I suppose people are a bit hesitant and waiting for reviews. Besides, it's Karan Johar so they have good reason to be wary.

Opening of a movie solely depends on the stars of the movie and the trailers. While the trailers for Kurbaan were intriguing, I have never thought Saif-Kareena as a couple could be a pull factor (and most trailers only highlighted the couple). So, in a way, maybe it makes sense that people weren't crazy about running to the movie as soon as it opened.

That being said, such movies that lack obvious pull factors work on word of mouth. Kurbaan has a good word of mouth, and good reviews. So I'm sure the movie will pick up over the weekend.

I think kareen delivered one of the finest performances.I did not watc the movie/may not watch it as it is not my taste but i watched ali maula song atleast 50 times to catch her emotions.Man she is damn good.I am looking forwrd to 3I and stepmom.

So, I am not surprised by the average opening of Kurbaan. But, it can pick up in the weekend.

i said this from the start...but i think they should wait atleast 4 days to comment on its box office status😕
