Its not a coincidence - it is just the way the article was written. The guy edited it to make it look like she was talking about Shahid (atleast according to me) and yes print interviews are often edited and tweaked to convey a certain meaning.

And people go along with the version that is more exciting.

Now this sounds like a new reason. People were saying back in the other thread that it can be anyone but Shahid? So how was the interview tweaked? I don't understand, I'm new at this tweaking journalism thingie? Any past examples of tweaking where the interviewee successfully sued the tweaker for tweaking?

Well there was an Amitabh Bachchan blog where he showed his actual answers to an interview on email where the journalist edited out some parts of it according to his own convenience.

Did he sue them - No. But in India that is not so surprising since when these cases take ages to get resolved. Why would someone go after a journo over these issues then? Also in India libel and defamation laws are not that strong, neither is the civil law system - so its not as easy to sue journalists and actually get a result out of it.

I am glad though that the strange lady still manages to entertain us through her movies, and doesn't show much off her absurdness on screen. Phew.

Yea since the interview was tweaked and due to Indian law being so slow the tweaker won't get sued, I'll have to go with the theory that Vidya was hallucinating about her imaginary relationship with Shahid. Or was she? I'll guess we'll have to be inside Vidya's brain to figure it out????????
I don't think I'd like to go inside Shahid's brain though, too many females roaming around.....hard to say which is what.

There are two clear parts where Vidya talks about Shahid in that interview.

1. Where she says he has no connection with her weight issues. Everyone seems to be ignoring that part.

2. When the interviewer tells her he doesn't want to work with her. Now when Shahid said he doesn't want to work with Vidya I don't know. I don't remember him ever saying anything like that. He even says that he would work with Kareena. It also doesn't make much sense since Vidya was at his birthday party when he was already dating Priyanka.

Apart from that it is all just extrapolation. How is the interview tweaked - well one way could be the description of body language - lots of leeway there. Sometimes answers are combined together to make it look like they are connected. Of course I can't be sure of it - but one thing I am sure of is Vidya saying Shahid has no connection to this.

And I am also sure of all those other video interviews where she clearly states that there was nothing between them.
