I don't think this article has anything to do with her trying to break out of her girl-next-door image. She is just saying something that is completely normal among people nowadays. Premarital sex is not really a big deal anymore.

I think what she said is not so shocking, but the fact that it is accompanied with this overhaul in image for the past 6 months.

I think there was definitely a change of image in all her pictures. She always sticks her chest out in a very provocative position. And now a statement like that is really interesting. I think that's why it smells of desperation.

I don't think there is anything wrong with physical intimacy before marriage, but I think people in the public eye should make these statements responsibly. Meaning they should be accompanied with statements around using protection, being the appropriate age and not taking these things lightly. That's all.
