Fortunately he accidentally gets a job as a cook in an Indian restaurant as he saves the life of owner's (Harsh Chhaya) handicapped son. So much for the job but the sops are looking for Ramji as he is an illegal immigrant!!!
Steps in an Indian lawyer (Raj Zutshi) who chalks out a phony marriage between his fiance Sameera (Samita Bangargi) and Ramji so that he gets the British citizenship. Now the cops are left for the task of verifying the validity of their marriage… Meanwhile posing as husband and wife Sameera and Ramji though poles apart… fall for each other… What ensues next is a funny and interesting climax.
Sanjay Dayma who assisted Ashutosh Gowarikar in Lagaan directs Ramji Londenwale.
The film is a remake of Telugu hit 'Nala-Damayanthi' written by Kamal Hasan and starred Madhavan and Hasan in key roles. The subtle humor flick stars television actor turned superstar in down south; R. Madhavan opposite Samita Bangargi (last seen in not so tempting Shaadi ka ladoo). Madahvan's previous Hindi movies RHTDM (Diya Mirza and Saif Ali Khan) and Dil Vil Pyar Vyar had some fantastic music scores but crippled at the box-office.
Ramji Londenwale will play from 2nd September 2005 in the cinema halls near you.
