As simple as that. And I say why are so many beautiful 30 something yr old actresses still single and without good work. There is nothing wrong with being single and I say all the power to them. But, you can't tell me that all human beings aren't "pyar ka bukhe. "
There are many..... Just name a few:
Rani
Urmila
Preity
Tabu
I do hope that these talented and beautiful women get great opportunities in the future, as they deserve ....whatever they individually define that to mean.
Or maybe the Farah khans of the world- one famous female director makes it a point to do movies that cast these women in significant roles.

Now, I think that was part of it (the relationship bit). And it shouldn't have been the focus, but I guess that is what bothered some people the most. The thread should have concerned her films for the most part, and there was some of that, but it did divulge into that. Though I guess DBH promotions may be part of the reasons for that. Out of your list though, Rani has the most potential to be successful and bounce back. She does because Tabu is more inclined to be living in Hyderabad and not taking acting seriously anymore. The other two have explored other genres to mixed results I guess but aren't in the news as much these days. At one point of time, it seemed like Rani was at the top around the time she did Black, and after that it was one bad choice after another.
I am sorry, but Farah makes safe movies, and she has her eyes on the prize (the box office). To expect her to do that is a leap of faith that I am not willing to take. She did cast Sush for primarily eye candy reasons, and has given the more substantial roles to Amrita and Deepika in MHN and OSO. Let's just say, I doubt her to be making an overture to the sisterhood anytime soon. See the title song in Hey Baby with drinks being poured over certain regions that she choreographed. I expect her to keep on going on in the same way. When I think of the greatest female director in Hindi films, it will always be Sai Paranjape for me. Too bad she isn't making films anymore though.

Before you go on bashing Ash any longer, let me make this clear... Her career is definitely going placed. She has loads of films she's doing and waiting to do: Ravana, Robot, Action Replay, Guzarish, Crooked, andd three other untitled films. So don't say her career is done, and she's only 34 and she looks stuninng, she isn't old. Also, people are excited to see her films, especially the one with Hrithik and with Akki! Also the critics love her performance too! Don't try to make Rani look better by bashing others!
Good for her. I didn't know she had so many movies up her sleeve. I haven't heard of any of these movies. But, I sense the pulse of the audience. Nobody talks about her anymore. People define her as beautiful, stunning. But, I have not see her being considered a brilliant actress in comparison to someone like Rani.
Beauty is also important for an actress. I agree and she supersedes many in that department. But, how long will that last. We all get older and physical beauty fades. I hope she proves herself in the movies ahead and you prove me doubly wrong.
Atleast she is not single and has a good husband who doesn't mind her being successful and out there. That's good he is secure with himself. NOt all indian males are like that. She is lucky that way.
This topic is about RANI MUKHERJEE so where does Aishwarya come into this. Guys do NOT start discussing other actresses.

The one female director has no interest in the female audience either. That agree. But, I hope there are some who try to make a difference.
Maybe Gurinder Chadha.
The romantic love for her niece part was a bit wierd, but I do agree that Koel was being annoying and pushy with this "romantic love" thing. I think Rani got defensive.
But, as a women I am concerned that so many great successful women don't have husbands. I question it not for Rani , but for all successful women out there.
I love all 4 actresses I named and I will never forget them in their respective movies. But, your right Rani still has the most potential

I fully agree with this post. Now, I didn't see the interview, but I think Koel is very frank and Rani is more reserved. Which is why they didn't get along so the two different styles might have clashed.
And I completely agree with the 3rd paragraph. It is indeed troubling that people have to make that choice and not being able to have both or quit and leave their career behind. Hopefully, mentalities change in that regard, but you are absolutely right. Employers do see women as a liability in the general workplace because they might decide to start a family, and that is troubling. There are exceptions to the rule, but there are few.

Riya...I never thought you would be this low to show your freakin insecurities. You dont worry bout Rani. Even if she becomes the poorest woman on earth, I doubt she ll beg you for anything. Really just focus on your favourites and leave Rani to her fans.nuff said.

Woah calm down, Riya's just saying generally. No need to get so serious. She's not making fun of Rani, she is genuinly a fan of hers. :)
