i was watching CNN news yesterday and they showed SRK!
the headline was "bollywood star outraged"
cant remember what they were saying though...sorry :)

Arnold invites SRK for dinner

California Governor and Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has invited King Khan Shah Rukh for a dinner date.

This comes right after the humiliation Shah Rukh went through at the Newark Airport. The actor was held back as airport authorities were suspicious of his surname. Khan went through secondary interrogation and the entire racial discrimination episode caused a flurry in India.

Shah Rukh only yesterday reached Indian shores and was bombarded by the press on the entire situation being a publicity stunt for his upcoming film. Political Honcho Amar Singh also termed it as a publicity stunt for My Name is Khan which is based on the same lines.

While Shah Rukh rubbished the allegations, he was appalled by the type of attention the situation had got. 'Its not as big as some are making it seem, while I was disappointed with whatever transpired at the airport, its no publicity stunt at all,' he confirmed with local press.

At the time being there is no news whether or not Shah Rukh has accepted Arnie's invitation and for now it seems that the dinner date has been postponed to September 20th.

StarBoxOffice feels Shah Rukh should kiss and make up and maybe even ask Arnie to make a special appearance in My Name is Khan, make him dance to his tunes, what say! That would be payback alright!

7. SRK says that he doesn't feel like going to the US again. Well he can't avoid it. The US represents more than 1/4th of the huge overseas market for Bollywood movies. In fact, he shouldn't have made this remark. And why don't you want to go to US? Just because you were detained for 60 minutes. I think SRK made these utterances so that he escapes such detailed scrutiny the next time. Indian film stars find it demeaning to be standing in queues along with the ordinary folks. They would rather strut out majestically letting others gasp at their swagger!

damn he should...wat u expect people to say after being detained??....do u expect people to say ''im so happy that im being detained that i hope i get detained every time i travel to US woohoo''.....im glad SRK spoke abt this, now he wont have to go through this anymore 😃

😆😆😆 well, i highly doubt that... he'll face it again, everytime he travels... but it's not that wrong a statement to make... my sister says that she'll never go back home... but i know her better to take her seriously... she's going to go on vacation sometime, isn't she... LOL...

and SRK has said a lot of things... does that mean we should take everything at face value...? NO

i like your post because it made me laugh... and it's true to an extent... about him not going through it again, hmmm, i doubt it'll happen... rules are rules... 😊

America makes fun of Shahrukh Khan

The Daily Show host Jon Stewart made fun of Shahrukh Khan's hue and cry over his detention at Newark Airport and said that they should make a movie on it. Wonder how red faced SRK will be when he goes to the US to promote My Name is Khan. Now Shahrukh should stop shouting from the rooftops that he is the biggest movie star in the world.

LOL... i notice people don't care much when things actually get cleared... but then again, being an SRK fan, i'm used to it....

I agree with you. I loved that whole segment on him! i was like laughing so hard and im a srk fan too!

actually my friend from the US, was talking to me and apparently she watched the show. She's not asian and she doesnt watch bollywood movies, but she started asking me who srk was.

and Im like the usual, bollywood's biggest star etc, and I told her to go watch kuch kuch hota hai with subtitles haha, and she loved it.

at the end of the day conterversies will always be aprt of a celebs life but if those celebs are doing their job by entertaining their fans thats what matters. This whole thing was blown out of porportion, etheir by media or srk

I could care less.

I'm just really excited to watch MNIK on opening night!
