yeah, there are chances that it might hurt the movie business... even when it started here in the US, we cut down on our activities of going out unnecessarily...

there are about 800 identified cases which is just about twice the number of deaths that happened in the US. in India there have been 8 deaths all in the last week. its still restricted to some cities pune, delhi, chennai being some of them.

so its really not as bad as its being made out to be. the recent deaths created the panic, but hopefully now there will be more action. they have designated hospitals in each district where you can go get tested and get the medication.

i really don't think this will hurt the movie's prospects. the opening weekend is probably already full of advance bookings. pune is the only place where they considered closing malls. no other place has planned that. and its not even final for pune i think

I am looking forward to both the movies...kaminey and life partner.
But even though the circumstances are bad...i hope both the movies do really well!...specially kaminey!!

Well, I hope for all the best. Thanks for the update, Geet. I think they would lose more money if they waited to release. Already, so much promotion has been done, no other film or at least a biggie is being released with it. I think people will come. After all, in this summer heat, that would seem like the best possible thing to do. The "A" rating does not help, but I hope people just take the necessary precautions and try to wash their hands a ton and come. Though I don't blame anyone, other than the germs and the factory farms that did not properly dispose of their waste to cut costs. Now, look what we have here. 😉

y? there are so many bad wishers of shahid on this forums itself. they are to be blamed. deriving lots of fun from all the problems. people who dont like shahid but dont forget to read each and every post in their topics.

yeah i am definitely watching it this weekend. otherwise my weekdays are too packed with classes and this will be an extended weekend with janmashtami. this is probably the best time for them to release their film.

whats the next big film coming after kaminey?

All I can think of is Dil Bole Hadippa, which is supposed to release September 18th. Then Wake Up Sid is in October and Qurbaan is in November. That is all I know though.:)

yeah Dil Bole Hadippa is the next one i thought of too. wow not too many films to look forward to for the rest of the year.
