In an industry full of ugly break-up's, Akshay Kumar's standing out by making peace with his old flames! He patched up with Shila Shetty when the two met to promote interlinked shows a few months ago, and now Shilpa's even talking about casting him in a film she plans on producing. Well, more recently the Khiladi and his wife Twinkle mingled with another of his exes Pooja Batra at Kambakkht Ishq's success party! Even more interestingly, it seems that the US based Pooja helped the super hit's director Sabbir Khan get in touch with Hollywood casting agents, which is how he managed to rope in the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards! It'll be interesting to see if other stars start following Akki's example! Right now, here's Kambakkht Ishq at 4!

Katrina Kaif is fed-up of being asked about her loyalties because of her videshi upbringing, and swears that she's 100% desi. She's currently in London for a reunion with her mother and siblings, but has already booked a trip to Chicago on the 15th and 16th of August to be part of a special carnival to celebrate India's Independence Day! The two-day fest will also have other super stars like Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu dropping by to celebrate the motherland's 62nd birthday with the Indian diaspora there, so all you North American viewers should try and be there. Slumdog Millionaire's child star Rubina Ali sounds like she might have developed a bit of an attitude in her so-far, so-short stint in the business! She's already writing her own autobiography, and while I don't know who would really want to read it, I can tell you that a part of it focuses on the commercial she recently shot for that features Nicole Kidman in the lead. Apparently Rubina's written that Nicole seemed strange to her, and claims that the Hollywood star didn't come out of her make-up van due to the fear of daylight. I doubt Nicole will even deign to comment on the 9 year olds thoughts! Back to the naach-gaana, here's Slumdog Millionaire at 8!

The Anil Kapoor produced film is doing pretty well with members of the junta looking for Bollywood laughs, but its pre-release moments weren't only filled with giggles! In fact, Anil came down hard on its lead star Akshaye Khanna and director Anees Bazmee for not promoting the film to the best of their abilities, and things got worse when they left for South Africa around Shortkut's release. In the end, Akshaye pacified his producer by organizing a huge screening of the film for the desi community in South Africa, but I'm not sure if Anees is out of the dog-house just yet! Anyway, here's the music!
