Model Gauhar Khan Set to Appear in 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year'

Well, it looks like another model is going from the catwalk to Bollywood. Model Gauhar Khan, who was made famous for her participation in this year's season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', is moving on to the big screen. Apparently someone liked her dance moves on the show and thought she'd be perfect in doing films. Which is why she is set to appear in Ranbir Kapoor's next big release 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year'.

Gauhar Khan isn't a complete newbie in Bollywood. She was in 2003's 'Miss India: The Mystery' with Priyanka Chopra. She's also appeared in some music videos, but her most famous television stint is still on 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'. It's uncertain what her role will be in 'Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year', but hopefully it will get her the exposure that she needs to make it in the business.

Bollywood has seen a lot of models turned into actresses in the past including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, and Anushka Sharma. What do you think about more models entering the ranks of the acting world?

THIS was the "YASH RAJ" film she signed?😆I hope her part isn't miniscule or insignificant, poor gal. BUT she is an AMAZING dancer and I liked her as a VJ nonetheless...hope she has acting skills to match. Good luck to her...she's got the face...hopefully the talent and contacts too!

Gauhar is actually a pretty good actress from what I saw of her in the Miss India contest back in 2002 when Neha Dupia won I think. She chose acting as her talent and did a decent job.

i luv gauher...shez sooo God damn pretty and shez very hot n attractive...n plus her dance...omg...i bet if any bollywood actress can dance as well as gauher ..i guess madhuri might be the only one close to this chic..i hope this girl makes herself notice in bollywood...n she deserved to win jhalak even..but im glad she came 2nd as well n made herself noticed
