well NY have not got the bests rating from Adarsh in fact i think its times of india they have gived NY 5 out of 5!

I like Tarans review !! We all know its going to be an entertainer and thats what Im looking forward to. Watch the movie, laugh and enjoy .

I cant wait to catch it tomorrow. Akki and Bebo rock !!!

I'm fairly ambivalent about New York. The basic premise (which is actually decent) aside, the execution is where the film tends to fall apart. Surprisingly, Neil wins the Worst "Actor" Award beating John and Katrina by a large margin. In some scenes, he is unintentionally funny. The rest are passable. Katrina hits home in her Indo-American avatar - although I find her character hypocritical. John was particularly good in the torture scenes but stumbles a bit in some of the later scenes. Irfan, as always, was good but tired as the FBI agent. Some of his dialogues sounded extremely clunky especially the speech at the end, and I loved how cynical he looked throughout the movie - after watching Neil "act", who can blame him? While I sort of liked that the director evoked sympathy for the terrorists citing injustice as a fuel for engaging in violent acts, I don't appreciate how they decided to defend the US government's decision to implement the Patriot Act. That was the inconsistency. When it comes to the Patriot Act, either one argues against the Patriot Act, or one justifies it. Unfortunately, this film tried to do both. Speaking of the Act, there were several errors on the factuality of events, ideologies and policies (E.g. A lone FBI agent would NEVER be allowed to handle a terrorist group on his or her own; Terrorism falls under the jurisdiction of US Department of Homeland Security [DHS], not the FBI - as such, an FBI agent would, at the most, have been able to aid the investigation, not carry it out by him-/herself sans a taskforce) but if one assumes they are creative liberties, it isn't quite as jarring. There are the more obvious plot holes, i.e, a crucial point in the climax is absolutely glossed over. Considering the subject matter, I would say New York doesn't delve into the events of 9/11 - the how, the what and the why - which begs the question "Why, then, is it called 'New York'?" The city was really under-utilized to the extent that this movie could have been made anywhere and it really wouldn't have made a iota of a difference. Brutality by police or personnel of authority exists everywhere, not just in an America under Bush administration. It is such a shame that the movie felt like a cop-out, too, because it had a lot of potential.

What more can I expect from a movie of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor? Of course not a logical one fo ' sho!

Basically if you're going to watch this movie at the theatre, make sure to accidently 'forget' your brain and logic at home. Trust me, you aint gonna be needing it. Hehe.

Anyways, movies with some sense and script are often ignored by the masses but movies with an illogical script, maggots mixed with puke sort of dialogues, and vulgarity are declared hit - hit. Kambhaqt Ishq seems to fill the latter requirement.

No point of ranting here. Hehe. Again make sure to leave your sense at home when you're about to hit the threatre to watch this flick.

You are right NY is totally different movie. I bet it is good. I am looking forward to that too but my reasons are different..John-Kat) And we need those kind of genre to keep the creativity alive......😃

They never promoted it as anything spectacular or innovative. Its a typical akki movie, and after the dry session of no bollywood for 2 months, I'm craving some naach gaana and laughs.

I just hope the humor isnt stupid, that's all. I want good humor.

Yup!! I saw the movie and it was a hilarious film!! You just have to leave your logics but it delivers lots of entertainment and masti!! Just De Stress your nerves and enjoy it! ....Everyone in the audience were laughing their ass off!! .....
