Election fever was in full mode as Bollywood's biggest celebrities stepped out to cast their vote on May 1st 2009.
Among the balloters present were A-List celebrities Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and many more.
The message was loud and the message was clear public figures making a very important public statement leading by example from 'Kuch Nahi Ho Sakta' to 'Ho Sakta Hai'.
Filmicafe was the first on the scene of all the action where the who's who of Bollywood was captured by our ubiquitous lens. The celebs paused and posed for our cameras with the pose of the day being the controversial albeit seemingly innocent gesturing of a particular finger.
On the impending hullaballo Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood's original Shahenshah referred to our special coverage of the Bollywood hitting the polls, commenting on his blog 'http://bigb.bigadda.com' Mr. Bachchan said "It is another matter that, the Government marks our middle finger with an indelible ink, to avoid duplication and therefore unfair electoral procedures. Showing of the middle finger in the Western world apparently has different connotations."
As the famous proverb says, "A picture speaks a thousand words."
