I don't even like SRK that much.. I'm by no means a fan. I do like his movies, but I like AB's too..

it is nt about one yr or two yrs!!

well wat ever ppl may say abt bachans. AB hs been doing movies successfully for almost 40 yrs ..and not by just doing some side roles (he hs been a superstar and stil he is) and thats really commendable!

i m nt huge bachan fans as such , do like them , bt i dnt get why ppl start to pull them down at any and every thread related to them..

just the way some ppl dnt agree that they r powerful ppl in films circuit , some ppl agree also , and thats why the polls showed such results...

that also doesnt mean the polls hav to be correct.. becoz polls r generally taken for 100 or 1000 ppl which donot represent the feelings of every1..

Perhaps ppl wouldnt pull them down so much if every article didnt uphail them as the best thing to have happened to bollywood. If there is any family fit to be called the royalty of bollywood, or the founding family, its hte kapoors, yet i nver see them takign advantage of that title.

If it boils down to most powerful celebs, its Srk because he's more globally known.

If its just in India, then Aamir, Akki, Srk all three are hot contenders for most powerful because movies that ride on their shoulders generate more of a crowd. And as for legends, while AB is might taleneted, its unfair that he's given priority over many other legends, more classics, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Jetender, Dev Anand, Shammi, Shashi, and going back, lets not forget the original Raj Kapoor.

Yes they are powerful, but they are not abvoe all other celebs in bollywood. And if anyone, its mostly Ash and Amitabh. Abhishek is not a mark compared to either.

agree with you..! but when you are talking about legends, besides Amitabh Bachan, Raj Kappor, you forgot THE Dilip Kumar who beat Raj Kapoor, that too without any filmi connection..!! and he also had a decade of fame just like the Big B..!

i love both Big B and SRK, equally.. and no, i don't get into all that 'bachans' or 'kapoors' business.. globally, yes SRK is more known than Big B.. and Amit ji is great.. true, not many of his movies are croud pullers now but he still has dozens of offers.. we have to look at the age factor too.. obviously, the newer generation is going to be more popular.. so it comes as no surprise that the powerlist has names like Amir, SRK, Hrithik, Akki or Kareena.. obviously, they would be more famous NOW..

it's just like even you forgot Dilip Kumar.. but fact is he had more fame and power back in those days, and his career span is more like 54 years.. and he was much much more popular then Raj Kapoor.. but you mentioned him thanks to his grandkis, who keep mentioning him at every chance they get..!

anyways i don't believe in these power ratings.......its not as if they are going to change the world for the better....

good point, that..! however, i think it's more to do with celebrities, not particulary 'bollywood'... and it was an online poll...

I saw this show where they showed net worth of BW stars.......Big B and Jr B topped the list, if i remember correctly the father/son duo is worth some 300 o more crores.....the second place went to Hrithik/Rakesh Roshan I guess, but the figure was less than half of Bachchans, but still all the celebs worth were in crores...These guys are so rich! make one wonder are these celebs really worth all that money.
